Russell StanleyRUSSELL, Stanley Unwin  - It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our beloved father, Stanley Unwin Russell at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, peacefully and surrounded by family.

He left us on Saturday afternoon, May 19, 2018 to join June (1934-2018) the love of his life and wife of nearly 60 years, who recently passed away and is welcoming him in heaven.

Born in Poona, India, April 7, 1934, the son of Salvation Army missionaries, Leslie and Sarah Ellen Russell, Stan and June married in 1958 and raised their family of 3 children in Agincourt.

After years in the HR field, Stan retired in 1990 with his beloved wife to Keswick and later Richmond Hill and most recently Lindsay, Ontario. He was known for his gentle, caring Christian nature, love of band music, refinishing furniture, surprising bursts of energy on the tennis court, cross-country skiing and gardening, but mostly for his unwavering support of his wife and family.

Mom and Dad, we know you are eternally together with our Heavenly Father. Dearly missed by his brother and sister, Herb and Faith, and forever loved by his children, Leslie (Kenny), Kelly (Guy) and Laura (Arthur), cherished Grandpa to Kristen, Kent, Ryan, Sarah, Kyle Carolyn, Meghan, Nicole and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral service to be held at Marshalls in Richmond Hill on May 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, 10 Angeline Street N. Lindsay, ON K9V 4M8, would be appreciated by the family.
