DAVIES, Norma Catherine Emily (nee O'NEILL)  - Our family Matriarch has gone to join her beloved husband Charles and her treasured son Paul.

With family by her side, Norma passed peacefully into the hands of Our Lord on June 6, 2018 at Bethany Lodge in Unionville.

Norma Catherine Emily was born on January 27, 1923. She was predeceased by many family members: her parents, Joseph and May O'Neill, dear brother Gerry, sister Audrey and brother-in-law George Bruce, nephew Alec, brother-in-law George Turbach and niece Leanne, her beloved husband Charles and son Paul, Charles' much loved brother Bill and sister-in-law Norma, her mother-in-law Mary and father-in-law Charles.

Norma is survived by her cherished sister Aileen Turbach and sister-in-law Mary O'Neill. Loving mother of Charlene (Gerry, deceased), Paul (Janice) and Peter (Kathy).

Cherished grandmother (granny) of Julie (Mike), Brent (Sheri and Keenan), Tara Lynne (Scott), Michelle (Jess), Brittney and Blair.

Proud great-grandmother of Ava, Nathan and Brody. Norma also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, their spouses and their children. Mom was also a devoted and longtime friend to some very special people who have also predeceased her.

She led a productive and busy life as a member of the CWL and the Altar Society at church and as a 25-year volunteer at Mackenzie Health Network. She enjoyed going to the theatre, dining out, bowling, euchre and bridge. We as a family have been truly blessed to have our mother with us all these years; she has been by our side for many wonderful family milestones.

We wish to thank the nursing staff and support staff at Bethany Lodge for their dedication, kindness and compassion. A special thank you to her recent personal caregivers and to Sia for your longtime friendship and care of mom.

Visitation will take place at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street on Monday, June 11th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 39 Green Lane in Thornhill at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12th. Reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to SickKids Foundation or Bethany Lodge would be much appreciated.
