Robson NormanROBSON, Norman John  - Passed away peacefully on the morning of July 5, 2018.

Born in London, England on February 24, 1927, Norm came

to Canada in the mid 1950s where he started a career with McColl Frontenac which later became Texaco Canada.

Norm was a successful marketing executive as Division and General Managers at Texaco.

Shortly after retiring in 1985, Norm did extensive volunteer work and particularly in the Asian community helping new immigrants with studies and discrimination issues. He was a friend, mentor and "Pa" to so many. Norm was a Judo Black Belt (Kodokan), a great tennis player and an amazing athlete whose lifelong vocation was fitness. He had very fond memories of the time he was with the Skyline Club.

It was his tremendous fitness level that allowed him to completely beat cancer at the age of 86. A man of great integrity and principle, Norm leaves behind a number of family and friends who will miss him dearly. We will miss his good humor and generous soul that was always looking out for others. He inspired so many of us with his positive outlook no matter the obstacles.

Norm left wishes for a cremation with no funeral service or visitation.

The cremation will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 where a short private witnessing will take place.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to some of Norm's favourite charities: The Salvation Army, the Toronto Humane Society or the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
