WALLIS, Gene - Died on Sunday, July 8, 2018 in her one hundred and first year, in her home at Amica at City Centre, Mississauga.
Gene was the beloved wife of Gil, who died in 2005.
granddaughters Rachel, Claire and Jane, her loving sister Marion Gould and by many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Heartfelt thanks to all the Amica staff for 12 years of warm and affectionate care and to Marion and her daughter Mavis and Gene's dear friend Bridie for their constant support.
We are also grateful to Gene's many friends who continued to brighten her life as the years went on. Gene had an unmatched zest for life; she travelled avidly and was a tireless correspondent with friends around the world. She showed great courage in facing life's challenges, always with lipstick and earrings.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of the service in the Chapel at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Hearing Society or charity of one's choice.
