SCARANO, Anna - Peacefully, at the age of 101.
Survived by her husband of 77 years, Michele (Mike), her children Rocco and Mario (Carol), grandchildren David (Laura), Adria, Liisa (Brent), Amanda, Alex (Victoria) and her 5 great-grandchildren Nathan, Brianna, Jackson, Kathryn and Alexandra.
Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Vivian.
Born in Monteleone di Puglia, Italy on May 10, 1917, Anna came to Canada in 1954.
Her secret to a long life was food, family and a daily glass of red wine. She was able to stay in her home thanks to the incredible help of her caregivers Cleofe and Matilda.
Anna will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family in Canada, the USA and Italy.
Visitation will held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 19th at Highland Funeral Home, Markham Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20th at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, 3200 Pharmacy Ave., Scarborough. Private entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna may be made to a charity of your choice.
