ROCCASALVA, Giuseppina - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at MacKenzie Health, at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Carmelo.
Loving mother of Nancy (Sam Lupo), Cathy (Alan Heap), Charlie, Lena (Ross Quartarone) and Sylvia (Corrado Quartarone). Cherished and adored Nonna of Charlie (Maria), Carm (Joanne), Adriana (Ross), Lia, Justin (Siobhan), Laura (Chris), Elysse (Dan), Dina and Stephen.
Devoted Bisnonna of Matthew, Nicolas, Vittoria, Gianluca, Annalisa, Jude, Sara, Nathan, Henry and Emily. Much loved sister of Vince (Nancy) Rabito.
Predeceased by her parents Corradina and Salvatore Rabito and her brothers Ross (Giuseppina) and Jimmy (survived by Maria). Giuseppina will be fondly remembered by her surviving sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in Pachino, Italy on April 3, 1928, Giuseppina came to Canada in January 1950 where she raised her five children. Her heart and home were always open to welcoming family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Chartwell Valley Vista for their care and compassion during her stay.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 2nd, at Highland Funeral Home (Markham). The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 3rd at 9:30 a.m. at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, 3200 Pharmacy Avenue, Toronto. Entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Giuseppina, may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
