She will be greatly missed by her mother, Roberta Cole, daughter, Shannon Freiwald, brother Marc Cole, sister-in-law Linda her loving grandmother Mae Waite, and as aunt of Brad and Jolene Cole.

It is with deep sadness that Don's family announces his passing on November 28, 2017 at the age of 61, after a prolonged battle with Diabetes and Kidney Disease.

He leaves behind to mourn his loving partner Jackie Curran, children Julie and Jeffrey (their mother Mary), his mother Beth, brother David (Teresa Tsuji) and sisters Debra (Rebecca Hunter) and Donna Cockburn (Dirk). Predeceased by his father Alvin (2000) and brother Brian (1960).

Born April 30, 1956 in Burk's Falls, Ontario, he grew up in the hockey arenas of Winnipeg, Moose Jaw and Toronto playing the game he loved and excelled at. He spent many summers at Hockey Opportunity Camp on Eagle Lake as an instructor and then as hockey director.

Born on Mayne Island, BC, Kay attended high school in Vancouver and married Ken on Mayne Island in 1938.

 

Courtney JeffCOURTNEY, Jeff  - April 30, 1958 - November 28, 2017

On Tuesday, November 28th, our beloved Jeff passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Since May, searing headaches had confined Jeff to silent, darkened hospital beds for weeks at a time.

Jeff endured his progressive neurological condition with his characteristic dignity and a steadfast determination to regain his health and return to the family life he cherished.

Ellen passed away peacefully at home after a hard-fought 5 year battle with cancer.

She was the beloved wife and best friend to Sandy for 53 years and loving mother to Christopher (Audrey), Victoria (Glen), Nicholas (Jeannette) and Jeffrey (Bonnie); doting and cherished Grandma to Caitlin, Tierney, Broghan, Michael, Mackenzie, Ashley and Alexander.

He was born on May 22, 1932 to the late G. Carl Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Bristow (nee Carlisle).

He was married to Nancy (nee Quinn) from 2003, until her death in 2016.

Their love story of reconnecting after 50 years apart and having such joy together in their later years, is one for the history books!

Bud married his first wife Carol (nee Fries) in 1954 after graduating from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Born April 12, 1917 in Dornoch, Scotland and died November 27, 2017 peacefully with family by her side.

Murray was a former Rotarian and longtime employee at Boyle – Midway Canada.

 

McLEAN, Barbara Joan  - Born in Lansing, York County, on November 24, 1931, Barb (nee McKain) formerly of Toronto and Meaford, passed away at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the age of 86.

Barb worked for several years in Toronto with Canada Post and she and her husband Ed McLean raised their three boys there.

Anne is survived by her loving husband Martin, her children Rein, Mai-Liis (Jaan) and Elva, her grandchildren Mia-Liina and Leo, her sister Tiiu, her niece Jessica and her nephew Michael.

Anne raised 3 wonderful children that she adored and was also blessed with 2 grandchildren that she treasured.

As an active Librarian for the Toronto Public Library, Anne made important contributions to her community.

Born in the district of Molo, City of Iloilo, Philippines, to Rosario Inson Arungayan and Conrado Arungayan Sr. (both deceased), he was the youngest of 8 brothers.

 

Demmer MarieDEMMER, Marie Louise Renée (nee de VERTEUIL)  - Renée, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Houses of Providence, Toronto.

Renée was born in 1923 in Gran Couva, Trinidad, the daughter of René and Emma de Verteuil.

Renée lived a full life that began in her beloved home of Trinidad where she grew up in Mayaro with her parents, brothers, sister, many cousins and friends.

She went to England to study nursing and then immigrated to Montreal, Canada where she met her husband, Hans.

She lived in communities across Canada and eventually settled in Toronto where she lived with family for the remainder of her life.
