HOO, Michelle Andrea - 64, of Scarborough, Ontario, passed away on October 5, 2021, from unexpected heart failure in Sunnybrook Hospital, with Joe Baker, her partner of 26 years, by her side.
Michelle was born in Kingston, Jamaica, the first child of Nolia and Everard Hoo.
She graduated from Alpha Academy and in 1975, left her family to pursue her degree in Psychology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario.
The family would later join her when they immigrated and settled in Toronto in 1978.

MARANAN, Danilo Magtibay - 1951-2021 - It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Danilo at Sunnybrook Hospital, surrounded by his family, at the age of 70 on October 5, 2021. His family lost him due to Cancer.
He was born in Batangas, Philippines on July 12, 1951.
Predeceased by his loving spouse Natividad in 1992 whom he had 4 children Rex, Ryan, Rhea and Roxanne.
He has found comfort in the care and love of Teresita whom he married in 1999.

BRIEDIS, Valdis - ALDIS In the past ten years, he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, spent time with the Maasai tribe, visited the spice fields in Zanzibar, stayed with the locals in Machu Picchu, visited China, Vietnam, supported a family in Cuba annually, and spent his summers in Latvia.
He is survived by his sister, Rita and brother, Janis (Dzidra), his daughter, Valda Berzins (Carlos) and son, Talis (Una P?tersone), grandchildren, Daina Licis (Guntis), Mara, Daniels, Edvards and great-grandson, Roberts, and many nieces and nephews in Latvia.

BURNS, Robert Edward Boak - It is with sadness that we share the news of our father's passing, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Village of Erin Meadows, at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of the late Mildred (nee Melenchuk) for 59 years.
Loving father of Kenneth (Beth) of New Brunswick, and Karen (Gary) of Ontario. Cherished Grampa of Scott (Laura), Brian (Molly), Kylee, and Kristen.
Much adored Great-Grampa of Elle. Bob enjoyed working over thirty years in several positions with the provincial government. Bob (Boak) started curling at the age of 16 at the Welland Curling Club.
He continued on his love of curling with Milly where they shared over thirty years of curling at the Boulevard Club in Toronto.

CHADWICK, Leonard Gardiner - It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Gardiner Chadwick announce his peaceful passing at the age of 91, in Markham, Ontario, on October 5, 2021.
Lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Isobel, daughters, Linda and Karen, son-in-law, Ron, and grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel, as well as his many relatives and friends.
Len was born in Toronto on March 24, 1930, the first of three sons of Ethel and George Chadwick.
Always a passionate sports fan, he excelled as a player and coach.
He started his work career at the Globe and Mail, where he met his beloved wife.
His outgoing personality, social skills and love of people led him from working on the presses to selling business forms, and it was here he built a lengthy, award-winning sales career distinguished by his accomplishments and lifelong relationships.

MacKERACHER, Kenneth "Ken" Young - This delightful human, socially concerned, generous, sometimes irreverent, lifelong learning advocate, died peacefully in Toronto, on October 5, 2021, at age 89.
Ken, predeceased by father Kenneth and mother Adelaide Edith Young, was so proud of the achievements of his three children Mary, David, and Gordon and, as Poppa, will be greatly missed by his granddaughters Anastasia and Zoe, a clutch of extremely talented cousins, dear friends and former colleagues.
Ken relished his multicultural heritage that included exuberant French-Canadian (de Lanaudiere) as well as determined Scots.

REID, Nancy Anne (nee HOPE) - The last Hope, Mrs. Mcgillicuddy, Auntie Odd... she was the last of a generation of Hopes.
Surrounded with love, Nancy left us on October 5, 2021.
Predeceased by her husband Mel, siblings Mary Clake, Mike, Chuck and Monica Hope, Joan Rankin, Tess O'Hanlon and Dorthy Shortell.
Survived by her children James Reid and Mary Ellen Mendoza, grandkids Al Reid, Sydney and Liam Mendoza, honorary grandkids Jackie and Katie Smith and sister-in-law Marion Hope.
She left many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family, spanning three generations, who she loved dearly.
Her sense of humour and sharp wit were second to none. She was a favourite of many and will be missed by all.
There will be a mass for the family at St. John's Church and a celebration of her life in the Spring when we can all be together safely.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, to the late Russell and Reta Salmon.
Bob suddenly passed in Barrie, Ontario in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Dorothea Salmon, wife of 58 years, loving father of Melissa Smart (David).
Brother of John Salmon and uncle to Steven (Michelle) and Phillip (Janet) Salmon.
Bob's lifelong interests were gardening and photography.
He loved the Blue Jays and DIY projects around the house and cottage.

THOMPSON, Linda Ann (nee SKINKLE) - Linda passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on October 5th, 2021 after a valiant attempt to overcome cancer.
She lived a life full of love, integrity and generosity and touched the hearts of everyone around her.
Linda's passion was real estate and her entrepreneurial spirit led her into a career as a real estate agent in the Quinte area for many years before moving to Toronto where she established and operated a real estate brokerage, HomeLife/Realty One Ltd., for thirty years.
She grew up in a rural setting in Prince Edward County, the daughter of John and Edith Skinkle and the youngest of seven children.
The County held a very special place in her heart and she returned there every summer with her beloved husband Tom to enjoy life at the cottage with their family and friends.

PENNINGTON, Sherrill Anne (nee GRAHAM) - Sherrill Anne Pennington (nee Graham) Passed away peacefully, in her 80th year on October 5, 2021.
Sherrill was born on September 19, 1941 in Hawkesbury, ON.
She is survived by her husband Gary Pennington, her daughter Melissa Fiorino (Giuseppe) and grandson Massimo.
She will be missed by her brother John E.S. Graham and was predeceased by her parents Anne Graham and R. Smith Graham. Remembered by first husband and father to Melissa, John Darker.
Cherished stepmother to Holly and Derek Pennington.
An incredibly dedicated teacher, talented editor and extensive world traveller; Sherrill lived a rich life full of entertaining, dancing and singing in the Swan Lake choir.

Francisco was predeceased by his brother, Fernando and sister, Rosa; he leaves behind his brothers, João (Maria Julia), José (Maria), Antonio (Rosa), Manuel (Lucilia) and sister, Maria (Joaquim) as well as sister in law, Luciene, and several nephews and nieces. He leaves behind family members in Canada, Portugal, France, Luxemburg and Brazil.

Beloved wife of the late David Ross Fanning (deceased 2014). Loving mother of Duncan (Ian Beck), Trent, and Jane (Ged Hague).
Proud grandmother of Jack Fanning Hague. Survived by her sister Helen Lyon and brother Howard Duncan (Sylvia) as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Peggy lived a life full of variety. Born and raised in Dundalk, Ontario on a family farm with 12 siblings where goods times were had by all. From farm life she moved to Toronto and entered Bruno's Hair Dresser academy.

In the early hours of October 5, 2021, in her 92nd year, Katharine passed away peacefully in her sleep, in the comfort of her home in Hidden Valley, Huntsville, Ontario.
Daughter of the late Thomas John Kern (Jack) and Jerrine Kern (Ferris).
Katharine was the loving and devoted mother to Brian Douglas (Cynthia), David Alan and Gail Elizabeth; proud and beloved grandma of Ryan Ford (Dana), Saxon Guptill, Kyle Ford, Hailey Guptill and Megan Ford; and great-grandma to Cole and Clayton Ford (sons of Kyle).

PETCOFF, Francine Vivian - Francine Vivian Petcoff passed peacefully at True Davidson Acres on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, holding hands with her two best friends Patty Gallagher and Diane Foster.
Beloved by staff and regulars at The Bo Peep restaurant in Scarborough.
Franny was the heart and face of the Bo for the decades that she worked there.
Franny was known for her sharp sense of humour, and that snarky wit lives on in her great-nephew Levi Guerra! Loving sister to Dan (Wendy) Petcoff, Nadine (deceased) (Gary) Jewison.
She will be missed by her nieces and nephews Deanna and Blake Petcoff and Melissa and Kelly Jewison as well as her great-nephew Levi Guerra.

KING, Daisy Evelyn - Daisy Evelyn King passed away October 4, 2021 in Paris, Ontario at the age of 95.
Her husband, Gorden King passed away in 2014. Daisy had two children, Jerry and Janice and two grandchildren, Elaine and Heather. Daisy Evelyn Finnamore was born August 20, 1926 in Toronto, youngest of eight children.
Daisy, like many young women of her era, worked in the secretarial field until she married Gord and life as a housewife ensued. Gord was ordained as an Anglican minister in the mid 1950's thrusting Daisy into a rural life and a minister's wife. By the late 50's the family was back in Toronto, moving from parish to parish.

MILLER, Cissie Stobbie (nee MEIKLEHAM) - January 19, 1935 - October 4, 2021
Peacefully passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital. Dear wife to John, loving mother of Kirsten (John) and Heidi (Jonathan), and the proudest and most doting grandmother of Caitlin and Emma Wright, and Alexandra and Campbell Hamilton.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Cissie helped her widowed mother raise her 3 younger brothers, John, Archie and Dan.
She was a diligent student, skillful seamstress, knitter, and champion sprinter. In 1961, wanderlust brought her to Toronto to "test the waters".
She quickly found employment, and a husband, while immersing herself in Canadian life with bowling, badminton, tennis and skiing. Her marriage to John in 1964 brought 57 years of wonderful family life and enduring friendships.
