LASH, John Clarkson - Peacefully, in the early hours of February 25th, with his children at his side, in his 81st year.
Remembered by daughters Brenda Smallwood (Larry) and Heather Lash (Robert Lyn) and their mother, Audrey Lash, as well as grandchildren Raechel, Jackson, Riel and Henry. His sisters Thelma Spencer (Graham) and Joan Fraser (Bill), along with his friends Nancy Dietrich, Lucille and Joseph Faber will also fondly carry his memory.

DIJKSTRA, Tjomme 'Tom' - Thursday morning, February 23, 2017, Tom passed away quietly and peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Tom was born in Friesland, The Netherlands, the youngest of five children, with an adventurous spirit. In his early twenties, he spent a year working on a dairy farm in Ontario. During this time, he met his future wife, Jantine van Steenbergen. In December 1986, he returned to Ontario as a landed immigrant. The following October, Tom and Jantine got married and, shortly after, settled in Fergus. Within eleven years they had added two daughters and four sons to their family.

GALVIN, Doreen Jeannette - Passed away suddenly and peacefully in the morning of Wednesday February 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, the beloved wife of Brian James Boswell Galvin for 66 years.
Only child of Henry and Jeannette Grey, Doreen was born in London, England, on September 14, 1919. In 1940, from her hillside home in Pett on the south coast of England, she watched the Battle of Britain being fought daily overhead, and this prompted her to volunteer for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF). She was called up in 1941 and was trained initially as an aircraft plotter. Eight months later, she was commissioned as an Intelligence Officer. Her first duties were in photo interpretation; later she served in several Top Secret capacities on operational RAF stations, until the end of the war in 1945.
