BERTELSEN, Dianne Emily -  It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Dianne Emily Bertelsen, age 54 of Stratford. Born in London, daughter of the late Dick and Dea (Carvell) Bertelsen and step-daughter of the late Deloris Bertelsen.

Loving and proud mother of her daughter Dana Bertelsen (Chad Gaunt). Best friend and true love of Rod McNaughton.

Dianne is survived by her siblings Brian (Michelle) Bertelsen, David Bertelsen and Keith Donovan (Debbie), along with nieces and nephews.

 

Guerney DouglasGUERNEY, Douglas Franklin  -  It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Douglas Guerney on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 72 years.

He was the beloved husband of Lynne Guerney and the loving father of Josh Guerney.

Douglas is survived by his loving mother Lydia Donaldson. He was the dear brother of Marilyn Campbell ( the late Donald), Patricia Rayment (Den), and Dolores Taylor (John). Douglas will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

PROKOPOWICZ, Ronald Stephen 'Ron' - Passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 75.

Beloved husband of Diane (nee Grant) Prokopowicz for 55 years. Loving father of David (Laura), Michael and Bradley. Dear grandfather of William (Nichole), Blake, Eric, Matthew, Amanda, Stephanie and great-grandfather of Elizabeth and Noah.

Predeceased by his sister Shirley Sauve and Larry Prokopowicz.

Ron was the co-owner of the Stanley Park Sunoco for 25 years and recently the owner of Stapar Motors in St. Clements for 18 years.

 

SMALL, Margaret Rae (nee Boak) - Passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Freeport Health Centre at the age of 95.

Predeceased by her husband, Iver Small (1982). Loving mother of Cindy Small, Kevin (Sarah) and predeceased by George James.

Bona GordonBONA, Gordon Anthony  -  With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Gordon Anthony Bona passed away on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at the age of 63. 

Gordon was an avid fisherman who won the Rainbow derby in 1988. He enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the trailer in Owen Sound, sitting by the campfire, sharing jokes and stories. Gordon was a hard worker, so he loved to kick back and watch TV when he had the chance, and he truly cherished the time he spent with his family, as well as his very special fishing buddies, Rudy, Big Bill, and Matt.

 

RUNSTEDLER, Alvin Ephraim  -  At age 83, of Linwood passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener.

Alvin was born in Linwood to Herbert and Agnes Runstedler (nee Diebolt) on May 15, 1934. He married Ann Runstedler (nee Goetz) June 16, 1962.

Alvin is survived by wife Ann Runstedler, children Stephen (Cathy) Runstedler, Scott Runstedler, Valerie (Marc) Doiron, Bruce (Tami) Runstedler, Mark (Sheryl) Runstedler, sisters Anne (Walter) Grubb and Mary Cashubec,, brother Vince Runstedler, brother Wilfred (Theresa) Runstedler, brother Herbert (Linda) Runstedler, grandchildren Jesse, Jason, Matthew, Joel, Becca, Amanda, Jenny, Luke, Ferrin, Josh, Julia, Chloe, Brody and great-grandchildren Jaxxon, Lexxis, and Kinsley.

 

JACKSON, Olive 'Irene'  -  Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday September 17, 2017, a longtime resident of Paris, in her 91st year.

Irene was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.

Beloved daughter to the late Fred and Henrietta Jackson; loved sister to Mabel MacPhail, the late Edith Meridew, Mildred Jackson, Florence Penner, Gladys Hudema, Leila Anderson, Laura Kreager and Carol Spurgeon. Irene was a part of the 'Nifty Nine' Jackson sisters; cherished aunt to 29 nieces and nephews, 37 great nieces and nephews and 16.8 great great nieces and nephews.

 

Melo GeorginaMELO, Georgina Sousa (Chaves)  –  Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at age 94. Daughter of the late Jose and Maria (nee Bettencourt) Chaves.

Beloved wife of the late Manuel Melo (2006); loving mother of Filomena (Valdemar) Picanco, and Victor (Gloria) Melo. Cherished grandmother of Susy Picanco (Paul Robson), Kevin Melo, and great-grandmother of Marisol Pardo.

Survived by brother-in-law Celestino Vasconcelos and many nieces and nephews.

 

SEIBERT, Thomas Malcolm  -  Tom lost his battle with leukemia at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, early on Sunday, September 17th 2017 at 83 years of age. 

He will be missed by his close friend and partner Patricia Murphy; by sons Paul (Ann), Scott (Lynn McNeil), by grandchildren Jessica Spurdza (Jared), Justin (Katie Wentworth) and great grandson Clarke. 

Will also be missed by his brother Peter (Susan). Tom is predeceased by his brother Keith and is survived by his sister-in-law Norma. 

 

Livingston AudreyLIVINGSTON, Audrey Lewis (Howard)   -  Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Lifelong writer and teacher. In her 104th year, on September 17, 2017 at Greenwood Court, Stratford Ontario, with family by her side, Audrey passed away, joining her beloved husband Ted.

She was the cherished mother of Carol (Bob) Savage, Peter (Fran) Livingston, Wendy (Bill) Addison, Jim Livingston and Roslyn (Reid) MacDuff. She was adored by her 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, with whom Audrey shared wise advice and provided a loving example of a full life, well lived.

Clarence was a loving and devoted husband and father. A man of very strong faith and a friend to all those who knew him. He was a talented pianist, punster and lover of all things chocolate!

Son of the late Vera (Wetzel) and Benjamin Faulkner. Predeceased by his siblings Ross Faulkner, Alma Thompson, Gerald Faulkner and Helen MacLeod. Uncle of the late Colleen Evans, Ronald  Faulkner, Audrey Henderson, James Thompson, Jayne Baynes, Douglas MacLeod, Daryl MacLeod, Norma Lynn Mathieu, Heather Burns, Michael Faulkner and Pat  Hunter. 

Neil’s farm has been in the Faulkner name since 1911 and he lived  there for his 82 years.

Hagar AubreyHAGAR, Aubrey Walter  -  At the age of 95, residing at Arbor Trails, Guelph, Ontario passed peacefully at the Hospice Wellington in Guelph on September 16, 2017.

Aubrey was born on Nov 29, 1921 at Wellandale Farm, Welland Ontario to parents Cecil and Mae Hagar. Aubrey was the eighth of ten children. He was raised on the dairy farm, schooled in Welland and graduated from the Ontario Agricultural College in 1945.

Aubrey had a passion for education and learning and this was evident throughout his personal and professional life. Aubrey’s professional career included contributions to Canadian Industries Limited, University of Guelph, Campus Co-operative, Conestoga College and Wellington County School Board as well as many volunteer and community organizations.
