Moore DonaldMOORE, Donald Joseph  -  (1939-2016)  -  It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Joseph Moore, aged 76, on Sept. 4th, 2016, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener.

His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family: devoted wife Anne, son David (Lori), daughters Karen (James) and Tracey (Reynold), and his 9 beautiful grandchildren: Leah (Nick), Dylan (Jeremie), Derek, Adam, Dean, Danielle, Shaun, Isobel and John.

Born December 29, 1939 in Kirkland Lake, Ont., he is survived by his brother and sisters Colleen (Carl), Tom (Arlene), Joanne (John), Judy (Glen) and Rita.

Gone to the loving arms of his parents John & Alice and brother Michael (Sandy, Tammy, Cindy).

Our comfort in the days ahead will be our time at his favourite place, the Ril Lake cottage, where we will walk in his footsteps and feel his presence always.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Donald with his family during visitation at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes R.C Church, 75 Bluevale St  N Waterloo, Friday September 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Aleks Mazur S.A.C. as Celebrant. Cremation to follow. Reception will be held in the Church Hall after Mass.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation may be made.  

Many thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and the compassionate doctors and nurses in ICU at Grand River Hospital who gave such excellent care. Our sincere gratitude to Dr. Susan Somerville, Don’s longtime physician.
