Leitzmann KlausLEITZMANN, Klaus Peter  -  It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Klaus Peter Leitzmann. With his daughter Natalie at his side, Klaus passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener, on Monday, October 10, 2016, at the age of 83.

Dearly loved father of Natalie Leitzmann Aissa (Jay), and beloved brother to his three sisters, Helga, Monika, and Lona, and his brother Peter, of Germany.

Predeceased by his dear son Klaus Paul Leitzmann in 2011, his brother Helge in 2009, and his parents, Charles and Charlotte (nee Glofke) Leitzmann.

Klaus will be fondly remembered by his step-son, Mark Loucas (Debbie), and his former spouse, RoseMarie Loucas.

Immigrating from Germany in 1954, Klaus dedicated most of his career to food and beverage management, having been employed most notably by the Howard Jonson Hotel in Toronto, the Valhalla Inn in both Toronto and Kitchener, and the Board of Trade in Toronto.

Klaus’ family will receive friends at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 4-7 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave. E., Waterloo on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.

Klaus fought a courageous battle with Lewy-Body Dementia since 2005, and memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Kitchener, may be made.
