Hunt RaymondHUNT, Raymond Charles - At age 72, of Mitchell, passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on February 3, 2017.

Beloved husband of Peggy (Cook).

Loving father of Scott (LeeAnne), Tricia Hunt and Tyler (Annalisa). Loving Poppa to Joshua and loving grandpa to Nathan and Samantha.

Dear brother of Sheryl Hunt. Also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law Carol Kieswetter (Ken), Joan Dellow (Dave) and Cos Cook. Also survived by many, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and seven God Children.

He was predeceased by his parents Edwin (Ted) Hunt and the former Vera Riehl.

Ray was employed at Nortel for 35 years until his retirement. He was associated with the Orangeville Minor Hockey Association for many years and was known there as Mr. Hockey. Ray was Past President of Tri-County Hockey.

Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, Stratford on Tuesday, February 7, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. A reception will follow.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Orangeville Minor Hockey through the funeral home.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held in Orangeville at a later date.
