Bean LillianBEAN, Lillian Amy  -  Passed away peacefully at her residence, Nithview Community, New Hamburg surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born 104 years ago in Hamilton and was the daughter of late George and Caroline (Kimber) Richardson.

Loving wife of the late Gordon Bean with whom she shared 71 years of marriage and predeceased her January 24, 2011. 

Dear mother of Ralph  and Sandra Bean of Wellesley, Catherine Hunsberger of Waterloo, Marjorie and Wayne Roth of Elmira, Doris Bean of Baden, Howard and Barbara Bean of Tavistock, Sharon and Alec Sunrise of Hay River, NWT.  Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. 

Dear sister-in-law of Gladys Cressman of New Hamburg. Lillian was predeceased by son-in-law Floyd Hunsberger, daughter-in-law Martha Bean, sister Elizabeth and Jim Whitfield, brothers Sydney and Louisa Richardson, Alfred and Gertrude Richardson, Philip and Dorothy Richardson and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Andrew and Reta Bean, Oliver and Margaret Bean, Dorothy Bean, Ruth and Matthew Kiereta, Hilda and Walter Helmuth, Norman Bean, Ruth and Clifford Strubhar, Elsie Cressman and Howard Cressman.

Lillian was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, New Hamburg.   Lillian appreciated the care and friendships she made at Nithview over the last number of years.

Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi funeral home, New Hamburg, on Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Earl Koch officiating. Interment in Nith Valley Mennonite Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Jungle Breezes Youth Ministries (Guatemala) or charity of one’s choice.
