McAndless JamesMcANDLESS, James (Jim)  -  Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in his 96th year.

Jim loved to garden, a passion inspired by childhood summers at his grandparents' farms. His dream of farming was cut short by the call of duty during World War II when he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He enjoyed history, experiencing new places, and genealogy. He was a longtime member of Presteign-Woodbine United Church in Toronto. We will remember Jim as a quiet thinker who was always considering how he could help those around him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Mary Lynne Rutledge (Bert), Kathy, Joanne, and Beth McAndless (Kurt Rueb).

He is dearly missed by his grandchildren Shane Rutledge (Keddy Adams), Sharon Rutledge (Nelson Coelho), David Rutledge, Karen and Christy Rueb, great-grandchildren Charlotte, Amy, and Clara Rutledge, and his brother Bill McAndless (Doris).

Jim was predeceased by his wife Shirley, sisters Mary Hennacy and Elaine Robotham, and brother-in-law Bill Robotham.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Hespeler Presbyterian Church (73 Queen Street E., Cambridge, Ontario).  Interment will take place in the Spring at Medway Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Hespeler Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
