Epplett PaulineEPPLETT, Pauline LaNore (nee Armbrust)  -  (10 October, 1929 Buffalo, N.Y. – 08 February, 2017, Paris, ON)  -  It is with much sadness but some measure of peace that we announce the passing of Pauline in the late afternoon of 08 February at Park Lane Terrace, after a brief recent illness and a much longer trial with Alzheimer’s.

Daughter of Harley and Ila (Stephenson) Armbrust of Pelham, ON, Mom is survived by sisters Dr. Nancy Armbrust (Lorne Carson) and Elizabeth (Bob Young), and children Tom (Julia), Lorie and Chris, and two grandsons, Colin (Jennifer) and Matthew MacDonald.

She is pre-deceased by 2 children at birth, her husband Carl, and siblings Katharine, Jim and Barbara.

Mom had a large, fun-loving extended family (and almost as many in-laws) with whom many happy memories have been made over the years.

A teacher earlier and later in her life, Pauline raised their family in St. Catherines, London, Woodstock and the Drumbo-Ayr area, working at the Post Office, Oxford and Ayr Credit Union, as an Avon Lady and in the fall tobacco harvest. She sang in local choirs, quilted, knitted and was involved in a number of community organizations; she also wrote the Epplett family history for her in-laws.

Mom was one of the most uncomplaining and kindly of souls, with rarely a bad word to say about anyone- our world needs more like her; she will be sorely missed. Many, many thanks to the staff of Park Lane Terrace for seeing both Mom and Dad (and their family) through to the end.

Cremation has taken place; a memorial celebration will be held when the weather gets nicer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Park Lane Terrace Memorial Fund and the Drumbo Agricultural Society, institutions which meant a lot to both Mom & Dad.
