Dickin RoyDICKIN, Roy King  -  Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on March 8, 2017 at 90 years of age.

Beloved husband of Jean (nee Wheeler) of 60 years.

Loved father of Steve (Kathy); Mark (Janeen) Dickin. Dear Grandfather of Michael (April), Bradley (Chelsea), Melanie (Scott), Jeff (Sondra), Daniel, Carly (Mike). Proud Great grandfather of Lucas, Samantha, Ben, Ella, William, Thomas, Eva.

Brother of Laura (Norm); Ruth (Ray); and the late Jack (surviving spouse Linda), Dorothy, Don (surviving spouse Carol). Also survived by brother-in-law Norm (Nancy) Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews.

Roy was a respected long time employee of Kitchener Public Utilities Commission which later became Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro; a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #50 and proudly served in the Canadian Military in the Second World War.

Roy could often be found playing cards at the Legion, Branch #50 and enjoyed his regular visits with his neighbors at the Condo. Family was very important to Roy and he will be greatly missed.

Visiting will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, Kitchener, on Sunday March 12, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 13, 2017 at 11:30 am from Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, Kitchener. A private family burial will take place.

If you so desire, donation to the Diabetes Association or Grand River Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
