Heldman LorneHELDMAN, Lorne  -  Passed away suddenly at Grand River Hospital on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Elizabeth Heldman. 
Lorne is survived by his children Steve (Nancy), Brian (Margaret), Kevin (Tammy) and Kim Ropp, his grandchildren Josh, Zach, Austin, Alyssa, Courtney, Aidan and Ashley.  Also survived by his best friend and fiancé MaryAnn Dietrich, her daughter Charlene (Dave) Dietrich-Illsley, their children Syndey and Taylor as well as her son Kevin Dietrich. Lorne was predeceased by his son Robert in infancy.

Lorne was always active in sports. He will be remembered as an avid golfer and hockey coach, and was a provincial lawn bowling champion. Lorne was also an active and fourth degree member of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus where he enjoyed participating as part of the toy drive, as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorne with his family during visitation at Erb & Good Family funeral home, Waterloo, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes Street, Waterloo on Wednesday, March 22 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Rafal Toman as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Waterloo.

Donations to the Waterloo Knights of Columbus New Toys for Needy Kids Toy Drive may be made.
