Wiedmann EdithWIEDMANN, Edith Ursel (nee Krebber)  -  We are sad to announce that Edith passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Edith was born in Obrighoven, Germany on June 26, 1940, daughter of Getrude and Wilhelm Krebber.

She is survived by her husband, Gerhard Wiedmann, her son, Harry Endemann (Margie), her step-daughter Marianne Kelly (Dennis) and children Brendan and Dominique, her step-daughter Christine Hendricks (Kevin) and children Connor and Madison, her first husband Dieter Endemann, her sisters-in-law Doris and Annaliese Krebber, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edith is predeceased by her brothers Erwin and Walter Krebber.

Edith and Dieter moved to Canada in 1961. Over the years, Edith waitressed for the Stratford Country Club, the Golden Bamboo, and the Concordia Club in Kitchener. She and Dieter ran the Cheri-Lyn Motel in Treasure Island, Florida for over 10 years. They also started the Tama Inn (Outsiders Roadhouse) in New Hamburg and offered 'open-stage jam sessions' on Wednesday nights that were popular with the local amateur talent. She also worked as a real estate agent for AB Realty in Stratford. She and Gerhard married in 2008 and enjoyed travels around Ontario and to Mexico, Florida and Germany. Edith enjoyed cooking for friends and family, loved birds and animals of all kinds, and particularly loved to garden.

Friends and family are invited to share their memories of Edith at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, Stratford, on Friday, April 13 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, or join in the Celebration of her Life at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14, also at the funeral home.
