For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

McGILL, Julie Ann  -  Was born in Guelph on November 24, 1968 to Jim and Judy (nee Pembleton). She passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 49.

A lifelong resident of Guelph, Julie pursued many passions in her life. Her biggest passion and hobby was her love for the game of darts; she was well known and respected in the Ontario dart community. She loved to travel and spend downtime enjoying the love of family and friends.

Julie is survived by her step-father Merv Schumacher; her family, Jennifer and Tim Moerman, Jeanette and Jerry Chapman and Jim McGill; her step-sister Valerie (Pat) Hetu; and her step-brother Wendell Schumacher. Julie was the loving aunt of Eric (Heather), Cassandra (Richard), Cole, Meaghan, Robert and Devan, and great aunt of Savannah, Sydney and Stephanie. She will also be dearly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and many friends.

Julie was predeceased by her parents Jim McGill and Judy Schumacher.

Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son funeral home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Saturday, June 9th where a memorial visitation will take place between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Chocoholics Anonymous would be appreciated by the family.
