Murphy WayneMURPHY, Wayne  –  Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the age of 62.

Beloved father of Nikki, Kayla, and Corey.

Wayne will also be missed by his siblings Vince (Robbie), Eileen Pendergast (Jim), Dan (Marie), Brendan (Shane), Gary, Betty Danahy (Jack), Sharon MacGillivary, Peter (Molly), and Junior (Sandy); and his many nieces and nephews.

 

McPhail IvanMcPHAIL, Ivan William Edgar  -  While engaged in one of his daily farm activities, Ivan passed away suddenly in his 89th year on March 13, 2017. Ivan was active, and full of hope, plans and life’s promises until his last moments.

Ivan was born on October 7th, 1928 to John and Ethel (Patterson) McPhail. The dearly beloved husband of Evelyn Ruth (Bonham) with whom he had a constant and enduring companionship for sixty-one and a half years. An outstanding father to Margaret (Glen), Louise (Brad), John (Susan) and Joan.

The dedicated brother of Hazel (Don), Marjorie and Marion. Beloved brother-in-law to Ralph, Gordon, Bob and Bill who had gone ahead.

 

Sebben JeanSEBBEN, Jean (nee Milner)  -  Jean’s wonderful journey ended peacefully in her 89th year, on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener. She is now reunited with her endless love; Bill (1963).

Her large family already misses her - William (Julia), Doug, Jane Gunn (Bob), Robert (Bill Schulz), and Steve (Lori). 

Jean was a devoted Grandma to Jennifer (Curtis McFadden), Amanda (Ryan Castle), Will Sebben (Colbey), Ben Gunn (Steph), Catrina (Mike Clark), Adrienne (Dave Elliott), Steph, Ted, Jill, and Leah Sebben, and was adored by her ten great-grandchildren: Addison, Kenzie, Oden, Bryce, Presley, Gavin, Myla, Sutter, Westin, and Quinn.

 

MACDONALD, Jason Matthew  -  Passed away peacefully on March 13, 2017 at the age of 40. 

Dear father of Matthew MacDonald and Abbey MacDonald. Cherished son of Robert and Brenda MacDonald of R.R. # 1 Moorefield. 

Brother of Rob and Jessica MacDonald of Harriston and April MacDonald of Arthur. Uncle of Jayden, Nigel, Spencer and Emily. Nephew of Rob and Helen Miller, Ron and Shayla Miller, Debbie Miller, Pat Miller, Velvet and Larry Breese, Cindy and Terry Masters, Janet and John Clark, Cheryl MacDonald, Darleen MacDonald and Garry and Tina MacDonald. 

 

MOORE, Bernice Clara  -  Peacefully passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 13, 2017 in her 79th year. 

Beloved wife of Geoffrey for 59 years. 

Loving mother of Cynthia, Christine, Fred (predeceased), James and William (Tammy).  Much loved by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Smith GeorgeSMITH, George – Formerly of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel on Sunday March 12, 2017 at the age of 83. 

George was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church where he had served as Elder. He was a Charter/Life member of the Atwood Lions Club and a recipient of the Lions Club International Melvin Jones Fellowship, the foundations highest honor in recognition of his commitment to humanitarian work.

He enjoyed horse racing, playing Lost Heir with his Atwood friends, NCO dancing and when living in Atwood, walking his poodles with his neighbour Jack Peebles.

Beloved husband of Lillian (Pehlke) Smith with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Beloved husband of Elfriede (Degenaar) Klaassen. Elfreide and Ted were married in Germany in 1949, and immigrated to Canada in 1952.

Sweeney StanleySWEENEY, Stanley John  -  (served in the Royal Canadian Navy)  -  Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Sunday, March 12, 2017. 

Stanley John Sweeney, in his 91st year, was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Sebin) Sweeney (1990). 

He was the dear father of Robert of Guelph and Janice Schut (Ed) of Vancouver. Stan was the dear grandfather of Aaron and Tracy. He was the brother of the late Rita Gelb and the late Leonard, James, Frank and Joseph Sweeney.

Predeceased by brothers Turk Spencer, Walter Spencer and Earl Spencer and a sister Jean Lyons.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman Hamilton, and her loving daughter, Lauren Henry. Survived by her son in law, William Henry.

DAVIS, Patricia Florence  -  At age 82, of London passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London on Sunday March 12, 2017. Born in Stratford, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Burrows) Davis. 

Patricia was an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario, retiring in 1989. 

Beloved sister of Marion Davis of Stratford. Dear sister-in-law of Virginia Davis of London. Dearly loved aunt of John Davis and wife Valerie of North Bay, Sarah Davis and husband Kirk Jones and their son John-Paul of Budapest, Hungary and Rebecca Kussner and husband Bryan and their children Hannah and Jacob of London.

Harry was the loving husband of predeceased Edith Kasper (2001).

Brother of Helen Loewen and uncle of David and Jennifer. Dear father of: Janet, Bob and Ron. Grandfather of: Adam Kasper, Alexandra Kasper and Andrew Kasper. Great Grandfather of: Xavier, Zachary and Desmond.

Beloved husband of Helen Alice (Chesney) Murray who he married November 15, 1947.

Survived by his brother Bill & wife Joyce of Tavistock, sisters Annie Mae and Mildred, sisters-in-law Shirley and husband Bill Crosby of Paris, Katherine Chesney of Woodstock and by many nieces and nephews and will also be missed by his four-legged companion Ginger.
