McGONEGAL, June Mary Joan  -  Passed away peacefully and on her own terms on Tuesday, July 18 2017 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, Ontario.

Always loved wife of the late Darwin(2010). Devoted mother of Jan(Bob) Muir, Kate(Lyman) Smith, Colleen(2014), Bonnie Martin, Rod and Carm. Proud Grandma of Richard(Paula) Muir, Carolyn Muir(2000), Paul(Laura) Muir, Annica Smith, Ryan Smith, Evan Martin and Kyle Martin (Anet). Also survived by 7 great grandchildren and her brother Cecil(Jackie) Bradley and sisters Madeleine and Genevieve. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Barb and Edna McGonegal.


KELLS, Earle David  -  Passed away peacefully at the Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Tuesday July 18th in his 77th year.

Earle will be sadly missed by his loving wife Carolyn Kells and his daughter Patricia (Darren) Clarke. He was a proud Poppa to Dwayne (Meghan) Clay and was brother to Muriel (Don) Bosomworth, Jean Kells and uncle to Jeff, Donna, Pam, Todd and families.

Earle is predeceased by his parents Clifton and Hazel Kells and sister Lois Knol.


Kentner GraceKENTNER, Grace Louise  -  Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

Grace Louise (Brown) Kentner in her 85th year, was the beloved wife of the late Elwin Kentner (1994).

She was the loving mother of Debbie and her Husband Don Meagher of Guelph, and the late Garry Kentner (2015).Grace was the dear mother-in-law of Carol Kentner of Guelph. Grace was the proud grandmother of Audra and her husband Jim Finoro, Chad Kentner and his wife Julie, Jamie and her husband Paul Porcellato, and great-grandmother of Shayne, Nathan, Kane, Zephyr, Jax, Ryder, and Raphael.


PARKINSON, Gordon Peer  -  As we sat on the deck under the grape arbour with friends on Tuesday July 18th, we shared much laughter, outrageous stories (?lies?) and slurped cups of tea. How wonderful for Gord that, up until his last several hours, his had been a perfect day. 

His wife of 49 years, Lorna, his daughter Katie Vander Velde along with her husband John and their children Landon and Max will feel his loss deeply.

Gord's youngest brother Bruce with wife Lorraine and their children and grandchildren; his sister-in-law Doreen Parkinson her children and grandchildren; sister-in-law Dru Mclean and her family will all miss their Gordie. Gord is now somewhere with his brother, Captain Andrew Parkinson, cracking jokes and laughing about times gone by.


Mosca RemigioMOSCA, Remigio  -  Passed away on the 17th of July, 2017, at his home, at the age of 69.

Remigio was born in Vicoli, Pescara, Italy, on November 27, 1947. He apprenticed as a cabinet maker from the age of 13. He moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1967, where he worked at Trend Millwork and then Ontario Cabinet Makers until his retirement in 2007. He moved to Cambridge, Ontario, in 2016.

Beloved husband of Rita Mosca for 47 years.

Remigio will be missed dearly by sons and daughters-in-law, Michele and Nelia of Kitchener, Anthony and Rhoda of Mount Pleasant, grandchildren Natalie, Michael, Cordelia and Matteo, cousins Gabriele and Giovanna, Tony and Elisa of Windsor, and nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Anna, Egidio (Lisa), Katia (Rob), Lily, Mitchell, Anissa, Emily, Nicole, and Matteo.

MALYNIAK, Annie Dora  -  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother. Annie passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on July 17, 2017. She was in her 84th year.

Annie was born in Hamilton ON, the daughter of the late Harold and Sophie Tatarchuk. Predeceased by her loving husband, Michael Malyniak (1997). Cherished mother of Stephen of Cambridge, and Nancy (Donald Gibson) of Niagara Falls. Beloved grandmother (Baba) of Aleksander. She is survived by her brother Andrew (Betty) and sisters Mary (Alf Gruske) and Janet.

Annie was an astute, hard-working business woman and entrepreneur. Her kind-hearted spirit and generosity will be missed and remembered by all.

ARSENAULT, Joseph 'Joey' Urban  -  It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Joseph (Joey) Urban Arsenault who left us on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the young age of 53 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Liz (Tomaz), sons Harley and Jake and best pal Rocky. Mother Jeanette, father Al, sisters Darlene, Cindy (Clayton), Gail, Della and Nickie, brothers-in-law, Joe (Amber) and Manny (Bobby), sisters-in-law Fatima (Carlos) and Wendy. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He is predeceased by his mother-in-law, Maria and father-in-law, Jose.


CLEMENT, Norman A. 'Norm'  -  Peacefully passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 90 years.

Norm was the dear husband of the late Beth (Brown) Clement (2009).

Beloved father of Peter and Diane Clement of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Loving grandfather of Cale and Caroline.

Brother of Betty (Keith) Pauli of Kitchener. Norm will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families.

KRESS, Kathleen Louise 'Kay'  -  Passed away peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the age of 94.

Wife of the late Eldon John Kress (1990).

Loving mother of Ed Kress of Walkerton and Fran Brown and her husband Butch of Renfrew, grandmother of Tammy (Mike), Scott (LeeAnne) and Todd (Chris), and great-grandmother of Nicholas, Savanna, Andrew, and Lily.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Clara Lipskie, brothers Reg (Margaret), Harvey (Dorothy), Bill (Shirley), Gordon, and sister Ruby Gaelor (Doug).


REDIKER, Edna Margaret  -  Passed away on Monday July 17th at the age of 76. Edna left us while her loving son Rex Rediker and her devoted granddaughter Melissa Dennis (nee Rediker) were by her side to ensure a warm & loving transition. With loving prayers Edna’s sister Opal Barnett (nee Woods) and her dedicated friend Ditte McLachlan also ensured a safe & loving passage.

Edna is now in Heaven with our father and also reunited with her loving husband Russell Rediker (Tom) whom she missed so much and her daughter Melodie Jane. No doubt they are dancing & laughing in joy once again.

Edna never knew how many people she touched daily. She was a gift to all who met her. She gave help to those who needed it and honest advice that you could depend on. She will be missed by so many people, family, friends & even the people she met daily on the street. She could put a smile on any face.


GOW, Fay Yvonne (Andrews)  -  Passed away on July 17 2017. Fay is the daughter of the late Harold and Hazel Andrews of Acton, Ontario.

Beloved wife of Glen Gow.

Loving mother of Murray(predeceased), Vicki(Glenn), Jimmy(predeceased), Terry(Tracy), Sherry and Lori(Mike). Grandmother of Breanne(predeceased), Adam, Katelyn, Dean(Chantel), Paula, Devon, Bailey, Paige, Tyler and Melissa. Great grandmother of 4.

She will be remembered by her brother Mort(Charlene) and sister Donna(Siebe). Predeceased by brother Keith.


GIESEL, Roy Franz  -  Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Arthur, on July 17th, 2017 in his 81st year.

Beloved husband of Shirley Agnes Slater-Giesel.

Loving father of Douglas, Wayne (Shirley) and Grant (Kathy) Slater and Judy Rush (Blair). Caring grandfather of Shane, Michael, Michelle, Anthony and Shane Slater and Alicia Rush-Franklin (Andy) and Jesse Rush. Great grandfather of Morgan, Taylor, Brooklyn, Lexis and Miss Blair.

Survived by his sisters Hazel Johnston, Marion Fortin, sister-in-law Ann Giesel and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his twin brother Grant and brothers-in-law Robert (Snoz) Johnston and Gordon Fortin.


Cormier FlorenceCORMIER, Florence (Maillet)  –  Our family’s world has tilted once again – with the unexpected passing on July 17, 2017 of Florence (Flo) at the age of 87. 

Cherished mother of Joanna (Angelo), Shirley (Larry), the late Joyce (2011) and Dianne (Jeff). 

Predeceased by our beloved Dad Albeny (Al 2007) son in law Joseph (Joe 1992) and siblings Yvon, Alonzo and recently Helen (2017). 

Missed dearly by granddaughter Laurel and grandson Steven and son-in-law Steve. Mom is survived by her three sisters Marie, Annette and Bernice. She is embraced by all of Dad’s family, Auntie Flo to so very many and devoted friend to John and Ankie (Mom’s Dutch sister). 


Brett MarianneBRETT, Marianne Elizabeth (nee Thompson)  -  Passed away peacefully in her 100th year, at Riverside Glen, Guelph, ON on July 17th. Marianne was born in Hamilton, ON Sept. 15, 1917 to the late Reverend Michael Taylor Griffin Thompson and Ada Ethel Nixon Thompson.

She was predeceased in 2003 by her beloved husband and son, Reginald (Fred) Frederick Woodman Brett, and Frederick (Rick) Griffin Brett, respectively.

Marianne is the adored mother of Wendy A. E. Brett  (Jeff Wilson) and beloved grandmother of Christopher and Meredith Wilson. She will be also be missed by her loving friend and sister-in-law Mrs. Berti Blakley, and many nieces and nephews from the Brett and Blakley clan.

Achilles DwayneACHILLES, Dwayne William  -  At age 47, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on July 16, 2017 after battling cancer. Dwayne was born in Clinton, October 3, 1969, son of the late Donald Achilles and Kathy Schaeffer (Keith).

Survived by his companion Betty Trotter. Loving father of Meghan (Devon), Mari-Lyn, Dwayne Jr., Alena, Coby and Dylan.

Brother of Dan Achilles (Karen), Chrissie Ney (Tom), Denise Schaeffer, Diane Schaeffer and Kevin Schaeffer. Uncle of Donny (Andrea), Joey (deceased), Karlee, Jenna (Terry), Jacob, Breanne and Elizabeth.


ANDERSON, Florence Audrey (Guttridge)  -  It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Anderson announce her passing on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in her 88th year.

Audrey was the beloved wife of Robert Anderson for 68 years, loving mother of 3 children, Louise Rae, Tim (Linda) Anderson, Kendra (Dwight) McMurran, 5 grandchildren Rebecca Rae Frasca (John), Robert Rae, Rachel Rae Schlenker (Philip), Jordan Anderson and Kayla McMurran. Audrey was the proud great-grandmother to 6 children Matteo & Marina Frasca, Jude, Rose & Violet Schlenker and Trayden Anderson. Audrey was like a mother to her twin nieces Allison Hogel (Jim) and Alicia Boland (Wayne).


NADEAU, Yvette  -  It is with great sadness that the family of Yvette Nadeau announces her passing on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Stirling Heights L.T.C.C., Cambridge.

Remembered with much love by her children; Diane (Pierre Villemure), Helene (Jim Neville), Richard Lemelin, Lance Schroeder (Corinne) and Wesley Schroeder (Karen). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Joshua, Justin, Autumn, Michael, Benjamin and Eleanora. VOELKER, Viva Gertrude (nee MacDonald)  -  Better known as Curly. Died peacefully at home in Waterloo, Ontario, age 102 on Sunday July 16, 2017.

Born in Carlyle, Saskatchewan, July 7, 1915 to Dan and Maggie MacDonald, third oldest of 12 children.  Obtained her RN at Toronto General Hospital in 1938. Beginning in 1940 she worked as her husband’s nurse/secretary for his medical practice out of the house at 36 Young Street West until the fourth and last child was born in 1948.

She was an excellent cook and made absolutely wonderful pastry for pies - recipes that have been passed along through the generations. Family gatherings in the early years with grandchildren were often at what became known as The Christmas House, or at the family cottage in Sundridge ON. The memories will be cherished by all who knew her as the gracious and wonderful woman that she was.


RAGHUNATH, Satesh Kumar  -  Suddenly in Toronto at the age of 44 years.

Satesh was the loving son of Harold and Ruby Raghunath of Kitchener. Dear brother of Devi Watson (Bradley) of Mannheim, ON. Dear uncle of Benjamin Watson, Tara Watson-Covey (Jamie), Erin Watson and Joshua Watson (Raewyn). Great uncle of Justin and Ella and Abigail and Brianna. Fondly remembered by his aunts Pearl Raghubir (Paul) , Debbie Carpen, Claris Dipchand, and uncles Michael Carpen (Devi) and Nehaul Carpen (Leanie), Satesh will also be remembered by the Raghunath Family, his many cousins and best friends Jan Shalla and Charlotte Smaglinski-Shalla of Toronto.


HONSBERGER, Lynda Diane  -  Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener. Lynda was born 68 years ago in Timmins, Ontario and was the daughter of the late Desmond Hisko and former Marie Hamelin.

Lynda will be forever missed by her husband Doug Honsberger.  

Loving mother and step mother to Chip and his wife Tara Seiling, Riley Honsberger and Leigh Debenham.  Cherished grandmother to her 5 grandchildren; Koby, Ashley, Cooper, Amelia and Gabriel. 

Lynda will be missed by her Brother Bob Hisko and sisters Sandra Lubenkov and her partner Frank Melcher and Gail Funnel and her husband Wayne.

Beloved husband of Nellie for 60 years. Loving father of Ellen Korpel (Don), Peter Korpel (Marsha) and Marilyn Dorey (Rod). Proud Opa of Alicia (Scott), Maureen, Nathan (Jackie), Jonathan, Jordan (Lexie), Amanda, Emily, Ty and Cody and great-grandfather of Caleb, Jacqueline and Olivia. Survived by his brother Bert in Holland.


Roe CarlROE, Carl Alexander  -  Carl's long journey through life ended on July 15 at Chartwell-Westmount Long-Term Care Residence in Kitchener, just two months short of his 95th birthday.

Born in Toronto in 1922, Carl grew up during the Great Depression and proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War's Battle of the Atlantic.

Returning home, he married Ruth, raised a family in postwar Willowdale and resumed what would be a four-decade career as an electrician, then factory maintenance manager, at Ferranti-Packard Ltd., which manufactured giant electrical transformers.


Weinstein GraceWEINSTEIN, Grace Elaine (nee Bignell)  -  Went Home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Owen Sound, at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of the late Bill Weinstein (2013). Loved mother of Pennie (Jim) Wallace of Kemble (Owen Sound) and Rebekah Grace Snow of Calgary. Cherished grandmother of Melanie (Michael) Arruda of Port Colbourne, Bob Wallace of Kitchener and much loved great grandmother of Rori, Shelby and Colton Wallace.
