Gerry was devoted to his family and public service. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Christine Cheetham (deceased). He was a loving father to Ivan, Andrew, Kirsten and Seth. He adored his granddaughters Amber and Freya. His large and loving extended family including his siblings, Robert and Rosemary, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nephews and nieces, all of whom, along with his numerous friends and colleagues, will miss his humour and passion for life.


Meier GladysMEIER, Gladys May Meier  -  Passed away peacefully May 2, 2017 at the Ritz Lutheran Nursing Home Mitchell.

She is survived by Glady’s son Howie and his partner Veronica, her grandson Joel and his partner Shannon, her nieces Joan, Bev, Elanor and nephew Don. She was predeceased by her late husband 'Dutch' Meier, her brother and two sisters.

Born 101 years ago on a farm near Mitchell Ontario. She spent most of her remarkable life in Stratford where she moved to work during World War II in a local factory supporting the war effort. During her life, there were two World Wars, a depression, the invention of TV, computers, air planes and many things we take for granted today. It is hard to imagine the changes she witnessed.

Devison DorothyDEVISON, Dorothy 'Dolly' Tamara  -  Passed away at her home in Waterloo on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the age of 90.

Dolly worked as assistant manager at the University of Waterloo bookstore until her retirement. She was popular among students and staff alike. Dolly was passionate about gardening and won many awards for her beautiful gardens. She loved to knit and there was always a waiting list for a pair of her colourful slippers. A treasured memory will always be of Dolly with a cat and a good book in her lap. To know her was to love her.

Beloved wife of Charles 'Chuck' Devison, loving mother of Dianne Devison and Dan Devison and his wife Stephanie, and cherished Nana of Shane, Nikki and Cassia.

Born in Montreal in 1927 to James and Editha Conrad, Shirley and her family resided in Greenfield Park. Shirley attended Teachers College receiving her Teaching Diploma in 1945. Shirley taught Kindergarten children for many years in Montreal. She married her high school sweetheart Paul Joseph Filiatrault and eventually moved to Kitchener Waterloo in 1967 to support her husband’s new welding supply business, Tri-County Welding Supplies Ltd.

Krugel MarionKRUGEL, Marion - Of Listowel, passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday April 29, 2017 at the age of 76.

Marion was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she had volunteered her time in various roles. She volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society, North Perth Hospice and the VON as a former leader of the exercise program in Listowel and Monkton. Marion enjoyed travelling, loved the outdoors, gardening, painting and photography.
