Bhagra KripalBHAGRA, Kripal Datta  -  (July 7th, 1929 – June 26th, 2017)  -  Affectionately known to many as Papa, Pahji, Mr. B and Nanupa, peacefully transitioned into the next phase of his cosmic journey at his daughter’s home, on the night of June 26th at 11:33 p.m. He was respectfully sent off with heartfelt messages of love from his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and far. His belief was to live life to its fullest, embrace it without fear or hesitation and with endless joy, curiosity and love. He embodied his philosophy by taking in each moment and day with joy, welcoming every adventure with an open heart and mind. He may have been tiny in stature, but his larger-than-life presence will forever be cherished by us all.

 

Bethune LorneBETHUNE, Lorne James 'Jim'  -  At Telfer Place, Paris, on June 26th, 2017, a long- time resident of Paris in his 89th Year.

Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Frances (nee Meacham 2013).

Father of Linda Price (Jack) of Brantford, Wayne (Linda) of Ayr, Gail Marcinkiewicz (Kazik) of Kitchener, Monty of Guelph, and Brenda Laframboise (Art) of Brantford. Cherished Grandfather to 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

 

Joy CyrilJOY, Cyril  -  Peacefully, surrounded by his family in his 72nd year, Cyril Joy passed away on June 26, 2017.

Predeceased by his parents Mary Jo and Richard Joy. Loving brother to Shirley (Bob), Alice (Mike), Theresa (Carl), William, Albert (Dolores), Frank and Gerard.

He will be missed by his adopted family; Cassandra Wiseman, Corina Wiseman (Jaylin and Caleb), Corey Wiseman (Kora), Samantha Yetman, Geoff Yetman, Ben Wiseman (Beverly) and Cecilia Wiseman (Mark).

Cyril will be missed by his nieces and nephews as well as his good friends Ken Wiseman and Larry Patey. 

 

WOLSKE, Frank Anthony  -  Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Monday June 26, 2017. Frank Wolske in his 71st year.   

Beloved husband of Connie. Dear father of Daniel (Theresa) of Guelph, Scott (Nora) of Harriston. Proud grandfather of Brianna, Melissa, and Emily. 

Sadly missed by his sister Joan Lee (Ron) of Guelph.

Predeceased by his parents Joyce (Epp) and Tony Wolske and his sister Marion Gwynn. 

 

McIVOR, Stella  -  Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace, Fergus, on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the age 86.

Wake HelenWAKE, Helen Read  -  (September 15, 1927 - June 26, 2017)  -  Stratford native Helen Wake (nee Macdonald), passed away peacefully in Owen Sound Hospital on Monday, June 26, 2017.

Helen was pre-deceased by her loving husband Bud Wake in 2012 – they celebrated 60 years of marriage and lived in Stratford, Orangeville, Shelburne, and Tillsonburg.

Mother to Christine Wake of St. Thomas, Kato Wake of Cherry Valley, Harland Wake of Southampton, and adopted son Thanh Voung of Waterloo.

Dear mother-in-law to Billy Munnelly, Michele Wake and Anh Voung. Pre-deceased by sister Betty Keats, and brother Hugh Macdonald. Sister to Marion Hogan and Eleanor Forsyth.

 

Morris JamesMORRIS, James Donald (Jim)  -  Passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House on Monday June 26, 2017. Jim was born May 21, 1947 to Hilton and Rosina (Howe) Morris, living most of his life in the Harrington and Stratford communities.

In addition to his many dedicated years of service to his employers in Stratford, Jim devoted many years to bodybuilding as a participant, promoter, builder, trainer, coach, mentor and a good friend to so many. Establishing Jamor Enterprises in collaboration with his good friend Norm Jacobs, Jim was an integral part of bodybuilding and physique events in Ontario and was a founder and collaborator in the Toronto Pro Supershow. Jim’s dedication and accomplishments were recognized in 2016 with the Physique Association of Ontario’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

Bailey JohnBAILEY, John  -  Passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on June 25, 2017 in his 95 year.

Born in Stratford, March 13, 1923. John volunteered to serve his country in World War II and joined the York Carlton Regiment (Red Devils) in London, Ontario on September 7, 1942. He served overseas from March 9, 1943 to November 7, 1945.

Fondly remembered by Ruth Bailey of Stratford. Loving father of Christine Wilker, Louise Allard, both of Stratford, Laurie Nightingale and John Vanderlinde of Innisfil, Jamie Bailey and Trudie Wiseman, Scott Bailey and Cindy Vancoille, Jackie Schneider and husband Rod, all of Stratford.

 

BOOTH, William Albert  -  Passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the age of 97. 

Loving and devoted husband of Helen (nee Johnson), who together shared 73 years of marriage. 

Cherished father of William Booth (Rosemary), the late Lynda Levenberg (the late Allan) and Janice E. Booth (Kristy Shepherd). Proud grandfather of Michael, Geoff, James and Jessica and great grandfather of six, with one on the way. 

 

Kennedy DouglasKENNEDY, Douglas Findlay 'Doug'  -  Born in Toronto, Ontario to Jack and Eva Kennedy, passed away at Hospice Wellington with his family by his side.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Isabel (Towell) Kennedy; his sister Diane (Donnie) Kendall; his son Scott (Debbie) Kennedy of Chatsworth, ON; his daughter Andrea (Peter) Ventura of Toronto, ON; his daughter Kelly Offer of Fergus, ON; 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

His spent his final days in the loving care of the dedicated staff at Hospice Wellington to whom his family will be forever grateful.

Predeceased by his parents Tranquillo (January 2017) and Rita Sabbadin (nee Sponga) (November 1990).

Loving brother of Mark & Silvana Pacholkiw (nee Sabbadin), Giuseppe & Elizabeth Sabbadin (nee Kovacs) and Sonia Sabbadin & John Zandbergen. Loving Zio of Michael & Victoria Sabbadin, Alexander Pacholkiw, Lorelai & Temperance Sabbadin-Zandbergen. Loved by his many Zie, Zii, cousins and friends throughout the world.

 

Ross ElvaROSS, Elva Marie  -  Our hearts are overflowing with shock, sadness and grief at the sudden and unexpected passing of our friend Elva.

Elva is remembered affectionately for the many aspects of her life including her devotion to family and friends, her love of teaching and coaching, her strong enjoyment of many sports, researching family connections, and an appreciation of all aspects of farming.

Elva is survived by beloved friend Mary-Beth Wilson, her children Rachelle Wilson and Jake Rowntree, and Lyndsey and Josh Berlett, and grandchildren Taylor, Brooke, Jack and Etta, and by her sisters and brothers Donald Ross and Jill Callaghan, Betty and Ross Small, Mary and Michael Orton, and Jim and Brenda Ross.

 

Robb ShirleyROBB, Shirley Louise (nee Roy)  -  With courage and dignity, Shirley passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Sunday June 25th in her 70th year.

Loved deeply by her husband and best friend Bill of 45 years.

Loving mother of Jackie Whiting (Jeff), Rob Robb (Tiffany), Josie Esposito (Nick) and predeceased by son Michael (1982). She will be deeply missed by her nine grandchildren, Jake, Ben and Ella Whiting, Zach, Austin, Ethan, and Makenzie Robb, and Landon and Nash Esposito.

 

TURNER, Aline Marie (Daviau)  -  Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 at Morriston Park Nursing Home, Puslinch at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Turner (2000); loving mother of Bob (Barbara) Turner and Doris Turner. Cherished grandmother of David, Brandon, and Michael.

Aline was predeceased by her parents and nine siblings.

 

Snyder PeterSNYDER, Peter  - At age 52, of Seaforth and formerly of Ayr passed away suddenly on Sunday June 25, 2017.

Survived by his girlfriend Dawn Themens, his father Morley Snyder, brother James (Caroline) and sisters Patricia and June (Peter).

He will be missed by many friends and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his mother Helen May Snyder (2016).

Beloved wife of  Douglas Uhrig and loving mother of Debra Smith and Donald Uhrig (Cindy). Cherished grandmother of  Steven Smith, Stephanie, Michael, Mathew and Justin Uhrig. 

Dear sister of Georgina Evens. Predeceased by parents George and Anna Snider and a brother Gordon Snider.

Dorothy was a life long resident of Bloomingdale and a faithful member of the Bloomingdale United Church.

 

Norman JosephNORMAN, Joseph 'Joe' Leon  -  Of New Hamburg passed peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Nithview Home at the age of 82. Joe formerly resided at the C.N.I.B. in Hamilton and later at Millwood Manor in Kitchener. 

Born in Wellesley on Saturday, February 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Charles Norman and Harriet (nee Erb). Surviving are three siblings; Richard Norman (Joy), Violet Stroh (Albert) and Mary Salzman (Kenneth).

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers; Evelyn Bassam (Alf), Wilfred 'Smokey' Norman (Nancy), Stanley Norman (Veronica), Harold Norman (Bernice), Miriam Zettel (Otto), Leonard Norman (Jenny), Harriet Allingham (Robert), Reuben Norman and Ralph Norman (Shirley).

 

Ozols JanisOZOLS, Janis Karlis 'John'  -  Born July 7, 1928 in Latvia, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 24, 2017 at the age of 88.

Survived by his wife Eveline, daughters Dina and Melita, sons-in-law Steve and Uldis, and grandchildren Daniel, Aaron, Nathan and Rachel.

John served in WW II and came to Canada in 1949. He married Eveline in 1953. John worked for Mutual Life in Kitchener for 36 years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener, and enjoyed making and fixing almost anything.

 

Becker WayneBECKER, Wayne Edward  -  Peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 71 years.

Beloved husband of Darlene (Machan) of Kitchener. Wayne and Darlene were married 50 years ago on June 24, 1967.

Loved father of Connie and Doug Martin of Carthage and Tamara and Ron Walpole of Kitchener. Loving grandpa of Drew Becker and great-grandpa of Dane Becker.

Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Florence (Street) Becker.

Beloved wife of Joe Kelly.

Predeceased by her parents Ken (Debnam), Eileen (Brethour) and sister Heather.

Very proud mother of Lori (Dave) and Deborah. Adoring grandmother of Bailey, Travis and Morgan.

Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Barnett) for 50 years.

Loving father of Jenny Dietrich (Ron Fixter) and Christine Economides (Zeno). Proud Grandpa of  Kelsey, Aiden, Lucas, Christian and Joanna. He will be sorely missed as his family was his life.

Son of the late Louis and Eileen Dietrich. Dear brother of Larry (Madeline) and the late Louis and Douglas (Bud).

Loving father of Klaus (Peter) Machura (Pam), William Machura, Barb Mutter (Blaine) and Roger Machura (Monica). Grandfather of Ryan Machura, Stacy Machura, Jenny Machura (Brian), Aron Machura, Tyson Machura, Vincent Lucas-Machura, Lisa Mutter, Jenny Mutter, Amber Machura (Eric), Hilary Machura (Cody) and Brody Machura. Great grandfather of 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a granddaughter-in-law Mary Ann Machura.

 

Koperski StanslawaKOPERSKI, Stanslawa (Stella) Koperski  -  At age 89, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on June 23, 2017.

Stella was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1951. She worked several jobs before finding her home at SquareD where she worked until her retirement. Stella was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Stratford and the Catholic Women’s League.

Beloved wife for 70 years of Heronim (Henry) Koperski who predeceased her September 8, 2016. Loving mother of Marie Hood, John Koperski (Dana Bolton) and Ed Koperski.
