Fran was the loving sister of Susan Parsons of Waterloo, John Allard ( Jane ) of Waterloo, Patricia Britton of Kitchener and Jim Allard of Guelph. Cherished aunt of Meghan Parsons-Opp ( Manuel ), Keeley Parsons-Miller ( Killian ) and Alex Britton. Beloved Great Aunt to Millie and Quinn Parsons – Opp. Devoted owner to her golden retriever Hoagy. Fran will also be remembered by her Brother in law Michael Parsons.

Predeceased by her parents Jack and Marjorie Allard and her brother Chris Allard.

Dear brother of Ron (Lin) Wideman and brother-in-law of Herb Reesor. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Edna Wideman and a sister Verna Reesor.

Yolanda was the loving wife of Paul for 43 years. 

Cherished sister to Wendy(Michael) Kosturik, Tessa Nieuwenhuis(Scott Guyer), Robert(Lisa) Nieuwenhuis, Chris(Lisa) Nieuwenhuis and sister-in-law to Brent Walker(Meri Mars) and Leslie(Brian) Cross. She was special Auntie Nan to Elizabeth, Carolyn, Julianna, Andrea, Rachel, Emily, Caden, Noelle, Somer(Greg), Mackenzie and Lexi. Great Auntie Nan to Hannah, Maddy and Taylor.

 

Kennel AnsonKENNEL, Anson  -  Passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at Nitview Community, New Hamburg. Anson was born 93 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Albert and Katherine (Erb) Kennel.

Beloved husband of Esther (Schwartzentruber) Kennel whom he married October 7, 1950.

Loving father of Anita Watson( Jim), Cliff Kennel (Esther) Steve Kennel (Shirley), Arne Kennel (Sue), Charlotte Scheerer (Kevin). Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. 

 

JANTZI, Wesley Roy  -  Passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph. Wes resided in McGregor, ON and was born 83 years ago in Wellesley Township. He was the son of the late Simeon and Mary Ann (Roth) Jantzi.

Missed by his children Monica and Kevin Garside of Milton, Douglas Jantzi of Kitchener, Cheryl and Peter Garside of Drumbo, Barry and Charlotte Jantzi of Wellesley, Dana and Brent Hughes of Kitchener.

Grandpa of Olivia, Kassandra, Kyle, Alicia, Kirk, Cameron, Keiran and great-grandpa of Kyra. 

 

Cox DonaldCOX, Donald Peter  -  (September 24, 1932 - March 20, 2017)  -  We want to celebrate the life of Donnie Cox, aka Papa. This man was an icon! He lived life for his wife and family. He adored the love of his life, Winifred 'Windy'. These two love birds were married for 64 years of unconditional love which was passed on to his children. Never a dull moment, laughs all around!

No one was a stranger to Papa and they loved his incredible sense of humour. Taking Dad to his appointments was life changing. For all those who endured his antics in the waiting room - THANK YOU!

Friend, companion, fishing buddy and wife of Ron Huffman, formerly married to George English.

Loving mother and best friend of Tanya English (Mike) and Tara Schill (Jeff). Loving Nana of Bailey, Ethan, Dylan, Ty and great grandma of Benjamin and Alyda.

 

Nowak EhrhardNOWAK, Ehrhard Heinz  -  At age 80, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2017. Born in Berlin, Germany, son of the late Friedrich and Gerda (Marks) Nowak.

Survived by his partner Alec Cooper of 44 yrs. Ehrhard is survived by his brother Helmut Nowak.

Ehrhard escaped Berlin in 1958 arriving in Montreal. He was trained as a Musicologist, working for the Canadian Opera Company from 1966 to 1971 as the Business Manager and retiring as the General Manager. Ehrhard worked later for the Stratford Festival Theatre for 25 years from 1977-2002 retiring as a Stage Hand.

 

Grubb RaphaelGRUBB, Raphael Clemens  -  It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Ray's passing on Monday, March 20th, 2017 at Brantford General Hospital in his 71st year.

He is the beloved husband to Belle of 24 wonderful years, loving father to Ray Jr., Rodney and Hope, dear brother to Loretta and Leo Montag of Elmwood, Isabelle and John Gannon of Calgary Alberta, Joe and Bonnie Grubb of Wingham, Harold Grubb and Philip Grubb also of Calgary Alberta, brother-in-law to Sharon Grubb and Harold Carter and special uncle to Jackie and John.

He is predeceased by his parents Leo and Gertrude Grubb, son Leo Stephen Grubb, siblings: Angeline and Donald Diemert, Hilda and George Elder, William Grubb, Robert Grubb, James Grubb, John and Dale Grubb and Barbara (nee Grubb) Carter.

 

Schmidt CarlSCHMIDT, Carl Edward  -  Passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, March 20, 2017, at age 69.

Loved father of Christina Peplow (Jarrett) and Brandy Schmidt. Loving grandpa of Aiden. He is also survived by two sisters Sandy Wendling and Carla Fries and a brother Bill Schmidt.

Predeceased by his parents Carl (Gunboat) and Minnie (Brinkert) Schmidt and a sister Joan Schickler.

Parks RobertPARKS, Robert 'Peter'  -  At age 80, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

Those who knew Peter will remember his bright blue eyes, charming smile and entertaining stories. Peter loved being surrounded by water, raised on the lake at family owned Barber's Beach and in later years moving to Kincardine.

Peter will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Peter Parks (Laura), daughters Jayne Weber (Laurent), Sandy Gibson (Kenny), and Lisa Parks, sister Judy Seifert, sister-in-law Glenna Seifert, grandchildren Joshua, Jaime, Brayden, Cameron, Cody, Sabrina, and Andrew, and his great-grandchildren Ella and Brody. Peter was sadly predeceased by his son Scott Parks (1994), and his brother John Seifert (2016).

 

Figueiredo HelenaFIGUEIREDO, Helena Moura  –  Passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, on Sunday March 19, 2017 at the age of 93.        

Predeceased by her beloved husband Joao Figueiredo. Helena was also predeceased by her parents Antonio and Maria Rosa Moura. 

She will be sadly missed by her niece, who was more like a daughter to her, Olga Monteiro (Antonio), as well as her grandchildren Elsa, Betty (David), Diane and Eric (Stacey) and her great-grandchildren Jake, Zachary, Mackenzie, Sydney and Tyler.

Born Olive Jean Wournell, April 13, 1924 in Halifax, NS, she was the much-loved wife of Lewis Chaplin who passed in 2005.

She was sister-in-law to Charlie and Della Boyce, NS, Mildred Cooke, NS, and Elsie Takacs, ON. She was a good friend to Ivan and Judy Purdy, ON and a very special aunt to nephew John Holland and wife Joanne, ON.

To the Kennas, Brian, Lilli, Nathan, Akiko and Lindsay, Olive was always part of the family, if not through blood then through love.

Schafer ElsieSCHAFER, Elsie (nee Wolfe)  -  It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Elsie at Chartwell Elmira Long Term Care Residence on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 87.

Predeceased by her husband Arno (2014), stepdaughters Mary and Brenda Adamson, parents Herman Sr. and Catherine, brothers Alvin Duench, Dick, Fred and Herman Jr. and by sisters-in-law Lydia (Alvin) and Helen (Dick).

FORSZEN, Glenys A.  –  Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the age of 87. Born December 7th, 1929 in Guelph, Ontario to Ferdinand Nils Forszen and Marjorie Helen Simpson. 

Beloved sister of Ruth (Lionel) Biggs and predeceased by brother Richard Allan Forszen. Much loved by her nephew Douglas (Colleen) Biggs, and grandnephews Joshua, Ryan and Gavin Biggs. Fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.

Glenys will always hold a special place in our hearts.
