Flaman GloriaFLAMAN, Gloria Antonia (nee Zuccala)  -  It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Gloria, who passed away on October 15, 2017.

Gloria was loved by many, above all by her loving husband of forty-six years, Richard.

Gloria was the most loving mother – not only to her children Rebecca (Jaimes), Michael, Amelia (Christopher), and Jessica – but also to all whom she loved, comforted, encouraged, advised, cheered for and mothered.

Gloria was the proud grandmother of Nicholas, Julian and Alice – three blessings and lights in her life.


Butcher RetaBUTCHER, Reta May  -  With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Reta May Butcher passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the age of 86. 

We will remember Reta for her infectious laugh, her kisses, her hugs, her jokes, she was Christmas… her crafts, her green stuff, her cabbage rolls, her roosters, she was our loving family matriarch and she will be missed so much. Reta worked at Zehrs and ran the Cambridge Singles Club for 21 years. She was a loving, giving, and creative woman, and a dear friend to all who knew her.  

She will be forever loved and treasured by her children Wendy, Tim (Cathy), Randy (Rhonda), Greg (Marion), and Nial (Ines), grandchildren Rebecca (Alan), Blair (Tammy), Jenn (Tom), Rob (Laura), Joanna, James, Chris, Kristin, Andrew, Randi-Lee, Mandy (Adam), Adam, Tiler, Cortni, and Ashli, and her great-grandchildren Owen, Sophia, Tamia, Tiana, Madeline, Mason, Molly, Lilly, Charlotte, Harriet, and Jesse. 


Dickin RonaldDICKIN, Ronald 'Ron' G. - (1918 - 2017) - Passed away peacefully at the Sunshine Centre in Luther Village on October 14, 2017.

Predeceased by Kay, his wife of more than six decades.

Ron will be remembered with love by his children Marion Crossen (Wayne), Rob Dickin (Margaret), Kate Dickin, and Denise Dickin (Bob). Also by his grandchildren Sarah (Ian), Jonathan (Kata), Ali (Mark), David (Diana), Stephen (Allison), Elizabeth (Chris), and Rosie, and great-grandchildren Kaya, Everett, Imogen, Aurora, Andrew, Mayda, and Samuel.

Cherished Nana of Adam Henkel and fiancée Deanna, Daniel Henkel, Lisa Henkel, Kyle Mead, Katherine Armstrong and Jonathan Howarth, and Michael and Alexander Martingano. Great-grandma of Jacob and Gavin. 

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Doggrell and brother David Batcock.

Knack SamKNACK, Sam  -  With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Sam Knack passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the age of 66. 

Sam was known for being an outgoing and happy guy who was always talking and laughing. He was everybody's friend. You could often find him at the pub, enjoying the social aspect of the place just as much as the beer.

Sam was a member of the Preston Legion Branch #126, and was also an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football on TV. He loved to spend time with his family, once taking them on a cross-country RV adventure, but also spending countless weekends swimming, laughing, and having fun.

Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Sharon (nee Lauckner), his son Jeff, sisters Connie (Don) Enman of Nova Scotia, Carol Mailing of St. Thomas and several nieces and nephews.

Jones FrederickJONES, Frederick Laurence  -  I wish I could say that he is racing through the swamp, in his '64 Corvette at Pocono Raceway or knocking over the time clocks at a Corvette slalom. Hold on to those memories. 

My darling husband, best friend and soul mate, Fred Jones, left us on October 12, 2017 to take his place in heaven's garden. He is probably giving instructions as to how to tidy things up back here and debating the responses. He leaves behind a loving family, brother John, nephews Jason and Jeff and their families. Elaine, Shauna and all the Bradley Bunch and a wealth of friends, all too numerous to mention. Father of Michael and Susan, Fred was a social guy who loved to chat and enjoyed the many activities he joined.

Cook OliverCOOK, Oliver Levi  -  Passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor Nursing Home on Thursday October 12, 2017 in his 95th year.

He was born in North Easthope Township on September 18, 1923, the son of the late Edward H. Cook and the late Magdalena (Yost) Cook. Survived by his brother Neil (Merla) Cook of RR1 Stratford and sister Kathleen McLeod of Woodstock. Oliver will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister Helen, brothers Allan and Lloyd (Edna), brother-in-law Walter McLeod, sister-in-law Edna Cook and nephew Wayne McLeod.

Pacia MikePACIA, Marcelo 'Mike'  -  It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Marcelo "Mike" Pacia, age 50, of Stratford on Thursday, October 12th, 2017.

He joins his beloved wife Sonia in heaven and is survived by their son Christian Pacia.

Born in the Philippines, son of the late Crecensio and Herminigilda Pacia, Mike will always be remembered for his fun loving spirit, love for his family and friends and his dancing.

He is survived by Julio (Zenaida) Pacia, Amy (Mark) Bush, Fran (Louie) Bayani and the rest of his siblings in the Philippines.

Predeceased by her husband Louis Garneau (October 13, 2000).

Loving and proud mother of Annette Garneau of Stratford and Michele and husband Joseph Craddock of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Michael, Laura and Matthew.

Survived by her siblings; Joan (Paul) Sheppard, Tom Walsh, Irene (Barry) Lydon, Michael (Francine) Walsh, Cathy Valcke (Vince Tiano). Marjorie will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Kris Walsh, the entire Garneau family, and along with many nieces and nephews and their families.


Smith MargySMITH, Margy  -  Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Thursday, October 12, 2017 with her family by her side. 

Anyone who knew Nan knew she loved her family and friends above all else. She was a selfless, loving, classy, and caring woman, but also spunky and feisty at times. Nan taught us morals and life lessons and she was someone to truly look up to.
