Sexton VernonSEXTON, Vernon Joseph  -  (July 21, 1950 - April 22, 2019)

After a grueling battle, Vern was granted God's ultimate peace while in the arms of his soulmate, Valory.

He is reunited with his parents, Greg and Mary, his brothers Pat, Herb, Leo, and Greg Jr., and his much- loved dog, Rufus.

Vern was proud dad to Shawn (Sylvia), Shannon (Thomas), Sheree, and Shane, as well as his "adopted son", Giorgio.

Grandchildren Ryanna, Cameron, Ella, Emily, Paige, and Hayden will miss their loving Papa.

Vern also leaves his siblings Colleen, Andre, Anne, Rita, Terry, Joe, Ron, Ellie, and Mena, his in-laws Marie, Kathy, Dave, and Karen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vern will be remembered as a master carpenter and for his incredible stories, fueled by his sharp, keen memory. He had a passion for music, plants, and his beloved hometown, Tilting, Newfoundland.

Friends are invited to celebrate Vern's life at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY , on Friday April 26, 2019 from 1pm to 2:30 pm followed by service in the chapel at 2:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Memories may be shared at  mount lawn.ca.
