OBrian JuneO'BRIAN, June Marie (nee NOTTER)  - Oshawa, Ontario  Passed away peacefully on January 25, 2018 with her family by her side.

Affectionately known as Junie by those who loved her, she lived her life with love and compassion.

Born in Toronto in 1933, Junie graduated from Toronto Western Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 and began her professional life as a Registered Nurse.

She raised her family in London and Kitchener for most of her adult life before retiring in Mississauga and subsequently to Oshawa.

She spent many cold nights in hockey arenas all over Ontario, Ohio and New York cheering on her son and son-in-law.

Junie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Colin Gregor; her children Elizabeth Ann Whistle and son-in-law Robert of Hampton, Ontario; Colin David and daughter-in-law Ann of Swampscott, Massachusetts; her most cherished grandchildren Aleksandra Whistle of Ottawa, Kelsey O'Brian of Chicago; Travis Whistle of Hampton; Regan O'Brian of Swampscott, Colin O'Brian of Swampscott; and Sean O'Brian of Swampscott, all of whom will never forget her.

June was the daughter of the late Richard and Maza Notter (nee Seeley) both of Toronto.

Junie was a beacon of love and compassion to all that knew her. She was a true friend, a shoulder in times of grief and a hand to hold for so many. Her greatest passion in life was her family, who will love her forever.

The family would like to thank the staff of Traditions of Durham and the nurses and doctors of Lakeridge Health of Oshawa for their kindness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, 11 Temperance Street, Bowmanville, Ontario.

A celebration of her life will follow at Bowmanville Creek Retirement Community, 105 Queen Street, Bowmanville, Ontario. Contributions can be made to St. John's Anglican Church in June's name.
