CASEM, Celestino Ventinilla - April 6, 1919 - February 15, 2018
Passed away on Thursday February 15th, 2018, at the age of 98.
He was born on April 6th, 1919 to the late Angel Casem and Plascida Ventinilla.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Carolina Ferrer Casem.
Celestino is survived by his six loving daughters and partners Gilda and Ruben Sahagon, Lorna and ManolitoCalizon, Delia and Rey Galvez, Erma and Menchu Castro, Lilibeth and Rolly Marcelo and Ofelia and Joseph Mercado.
He will lovingly remembered by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celestino leaves behind numerous relatives and friends in the Philippines, Canada and the USA.
Papa loves going fishing, eating chicken at Swiss Chalet, french fries at McDonalds and drinking coffee at Tim Hortons.
Everyone who finds out how old he is, would ask him what his secret is in living a healthy, long life and all he would tell them is four simple words, “Don’t worry, be happy!”
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday February 18th, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. and on Monday, February 19th, from 2 – 4 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH, (91 Ribblesdale Dr. Whitby) on Tuesday, February 20th, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, Markham.
