Howes RichardHOWES, Richard Foster  - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Richard died on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Sunnybrook Hospital.

Loved and loving husband of Sylvie Lachance, "the love of his life." Treasured father of Miranda. 'Ampy to Finlay and Lucia and dear friend to Carol Kay.

Mentoring step-father to Olivier, Aurelie and Corinne Gagnon.

Son of the late Henry 'Chappie' and Mildred Howes. Brother of Bill (Fikret), Wendy (the late Frank), Judy (Jim), Pat and David (Jennifer).

Son-in-law of Lisette Bizier and the late Normand Lachance.

Brother-in-law to Rene and Frederic Lachance.

Rick will be missed and remembered by his aunts Pat and Marion, uncle Lawrence and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sick Kids Hospital, Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital, The Good Shepherd Ministries or the charity of your choice. Richard's life was full of adventure and wonder. He was spiritual, creative, humorous and generous.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Beaches Presbyterian Church, 65 Glen Manor Drive, Toronto on Saturday, December 16th at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
