Smith GordonSMITH, Gordon Emslie  - December 9, 1928 - December 10, 2017

Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Sunday December 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years.

Gordon was the beloved husband of Norma Francis Smith (deceased) and the loving father of Karen (James), Brenda and Richard (Sherri).

Dear Grandfather to Christopher (Amanda), Jason (Stephanie) and Josie (Nick) and dear Great grandfather of Keir, Laine and Theran.

Gordon was a loving Stepfather of Karen (Robert), Steven (Sharon) and Sandra (Cy, deceased), Dear Step-grandfather of Shannon (David), Leigh (Edward), Robin (Travis), Jeffrey, Brett, Rachael , Adam, and Step-great grandfather of Jack, Lauren, Savannah and Brodie.

Gordon was the child of Lillian and Joseph Smith (deceased) and the brother of Pat (Fred, deceased), Betty (deceased) and Frank, Keith and Helen (deceased), Joanne (Bill, deceased), Ron (deceased) and Barbara, Donna (deceased) and Bert (deceased), and Marg (Wayne).

Gordon will be remembered for his loving and caring manner and his quirky sense of humor.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the IOOF in Barrie for their care and kindness.

A Celebration of Gordon's Life will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00am at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora.
