McNaught MariaMcNAUGHT, Maria Concetta Cettina (nee MIFSUD)  - 1923 - 2017 Cettina was born on February 7th in the village of Kalkara on the island of Malta.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas (Tony), mother Carmena and father Lorenzu, sisters Mary and Carmena, brothers John, Louis and Joe.

Survived by her two sons Lawrence and Paul and her granddaughter Aletha. Cettina, an accomplished seamstress, met Tony in Malta while he was serving with the Royal Artillery.

They married in Malta in 1947 when Tony was demobilized, and returned to his home town of Glasgow, Scotland. Cettina worked as a seamstress there, and in Liverpool, where they moved in 1962. The family immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1965. Cettina had a long career, until her retirement, in the printing department of Atomic Energy of Canada. C

ettina was a devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Toronto, Long Branch until 2015, when she and Tony moved to be near their sons in Kitchener-Waterloo.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 2nd from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke.  Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church, 3674 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke.
