McCann BrianMcCANN, J. Brian  - September 30, 1933 - January 4, 2018

With great sadness, but wonderful memories, his family announces the passing of Brian McCann.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Joan (nee Sioui), his parents Muriel Gillies and Jim McCann and his brother John.

He leaves his much-loved sister Maureen Jodoin, his children Colleen (Steve Garbacz), Heather (Doug Jaffray), and Jim (Grace), grandchildren Michelle Dittmer (Brian), Peter Garbacz (Amanda Caron), Justin Jaffray, Katie, Christina and James, great-granddaughter Kiera, and his nieces and nephews.

Born in Montreal, Brian was the founder and president of Jo-Ad Industries Ltd., named after his wife Joan Adeline. Brian lived a full and interesting life and will be missed by all who knew him. Brian will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his remarkable business acumen, integrity, quiet generosity, sharp wit, good humour and infectious smile.

In his final days, his mind and body failing him as he battled dementia, Brian never stopped greeting people he met with the warm, kind and comforting smile so familiar to anyone who knew him. He was a wonderful husband and father and the love he had for his family was limitless and unconditional. The feeling is mutual, Dad. We love you.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., east of Erin Mills Pkwy., on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd., on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m.
