Hooey DorothyHOOEY, Dorothy May (nee LINEHAM)   - March 16, 1929-June 17, 2018

Dorothy passed peacefully, and now joins her husband Bill (2003).

Mom was born in Copper Cliff, ON to John and Sophia Lineham, the fourth of nine children, where a strong work ethic and their faith were a priority.

Dorothy is survived by her son Michael (Liz) and her grandsons Sean and Patrick.

She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Bryson (Jim, deceased), Marjorie Marcolini (Walter, deceased), Margaret Lesarge (Gerry, deceased), Betty Kay (Ken), Helen Cook (Gary), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mom was predeceased by her sisters Rose Porier (Bill, deceased), Cecilia Pollesel (Bruno) and brother, Charles (Joy, deceased). Dorothy was a strong woman who was blessed to have some incredible women as friends. Mom had a gift and enjoyed a successful career in the field of market research and her enjoyment of bridge was surpassed only by her love of golf.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15347 Yonge Street, Aurora on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10 a.m.

I would like to thank Dr. Arnell Baguio at Southlake Hospital, the entire palliative home care team and the staff of The Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket. All their professionalism and care is truly humbling.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Margaret Bahen Hospice for York Region, 653 Queen St., Newmarket, ON L3Y 2J1.
