Ivanyshyn TonyIVANYSHYN, Tony  - January 10, 1930 - June 17, 2018

We are saddened to announce the passing of Tony Ivanyshyn in his 89th year on Sunday, June 17, 2018 after a long battle with cancer in the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Olga (Polischuk).

Loving father of Steve (Maxine), Bruce (Tracey) and son-in-law Sal Mauceri.

Proud Grandfather of Sarah, Graham, Katie and Lauren. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Agnes, his beautiful daughter Julie Mauceri, sisters Terry Charanduk, Pola Parsons and brother Eddie Ivanyshyn.

Tony was born in Birch River, Manitoba and lived most of his life in Forest Hill, Toronto.

He loved to travel for business and enjoyed spending many hours at ice rinks near and far supporting his kids and grandkids passions.

Tony enjoyed his career, working with Addison's, Manley's and Motoski in the early years and after more than 20 years with Honda Canada, he celebrated his retirement in 1992 as Vice President. He was fondly remembered as a "Helluva nice guy" by all. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, Toronto, on Thursday, June 21, 2018 starting at 12:00 p.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m., with entombment and reception to follow.

Thank you to the nursing staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences on K Wing 1 E. Your kindness and care made a big difference to Tony and to our family.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
