Boseovski IliaBOSEOVSKI, Ilia (LOUIE)  - 83, of Thornhill, Ontario, succumbed to cancer and breathed his last breaths holding his son's hand in the early morning of June 20, 2018.

Born in Mariovo, Macedonia to Trajko and Jana Boseovski, Ilia arrived in Canada on February 12, 1957 aboard the MS Saturnia.

Louie is survived by his wife Ruza (Rose) of 45 years, daughter Donna (Zoran) Evtimov, son Jovan/John (Deneb Milano) Boseovski, many loving grandchildren: Nicole (Jim), Natasha, Kristina (Ivan), Alfonzo and Kira, great-grandchildren: Ryan, Brayden, Brynn, Brielle, and Dominik, brother Steve (Stojna) and sister Pauna, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Louie was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all, who loved people, cooking for them and having a great time.

Truly the patriarch of the family, he brought his entire family from Macedonia to Canada, and is the foundation of the family tree. He was very proud of all the people in his family.

Ilia opened the Wedgewood Grill (Mainstreets), the iconic restaurant on Yonge Street, in 1966 and successfully operated it for 30 years. As he would say: "We fed North York for 30 years! It might be a greasy spoon to them, but its my GOLDEN SPOON!" "Dedo" was passionate about his family, especially spending time with his grandkids.

Eating with them, of course, but also teaching his various grandchildren to play cards (Gin Rummy), chess and surprise tickle attacks. Ilia, Ilo, Louie, Dad, Dedo... he will be missed tremendously by all.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home on Friday, June 22nd. Funeral services for Louie will be at St. Dimitrija Solunski in Markham on Saturday, June 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with lunch following the burial at approximately 2:30 p.m. back at the church.
