McMaster RonaldMcMASTER, Ronald Joseph  - Peacefully, in his 93rd year, Ronald Joseph McMaster passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018.

A beloved husband to Joyce and devoted father to Michele (Stephen), Mark (Suzanne) and Chris (Dave), Ron was an adoring Poppa to his seven grandchildren, Shannon, Dana, Kiera, Nicholas, Ryan, Kyle and Conor.

He will be greatly missed by his loving sister-in-law Ina and his dear niece Cathy.

In his working life, he inspired hundreds of students as a teacher of English at Forest Hill Collegiate, UTS and the Faculty of Education where he chaired the English Department for 20 years, honoured with the title of Professor Emeritus.

He was a noted author of high school English textbooks, including Creative Composition, Black, Bright and Grey, and the McMaster Language Series. He modeled the values of kindness, compassion and devotion to family and shared his love of gardening, music and celebrating everything. Loved with a love beyond all telling: missed with a grief beyond all tears. You will live forever in our hearts.

There will be a private family Celebration of Life.

Memorial Donations may be made to The Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 3M.
