Stratton MoragSTRATTON, Morag Campbell  - It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that this morning, the world lost one of its brightest lights.

Morag Campbell Stratton passed away at 4 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 after being tenderly cared for by the Palliative Care Team at St. Michael's Hospital.

Anyone who had the privilege to know her will not soon forget.

39 years ago, at the age of 23, she boarded her first plane, bound for Toronto and none of our lives would be the same again.

Through her the Arrell's gained a new family in Scotland, and the Scots a new one in Canada. We are thankful for everything she gave us - friendship, compassion, inspiration, nurture, unending conversation and endless wit.

The world deserved to have her for more than 62 years, but for the time we had, we are forever grateful. She will be remembered by, in Scotland, Jim Stratton (Christine), David (Denise), Fay (Colin) and Ann (Willie) and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly, and in Canada Tony and Anne Arrell, and their children Laura (Erik Joyal), Cameron (deceased), Ashleigh (Andrew Creighton) and Nicole.

Cherished Nan of 5 adopted "grandchildren" Peyton, Cameron and Mackenzie Joyal, and Marly and Rascal Creighton.

As Morag told one of the 2nd generation, I don't want tears, I want laughter. We carry those words in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, St. Michael's Hospital Palliative Care or Princess Margaret Cancer Research.
