Wylie JoanWYLIE, Joan  - Passed away peacefully on June 26, 2018 at the age of 91.

Joan will be remembered as a person who said yes to all that life had to offer.

She was a positive voice in the world, intelligent, independent, organized, decisive and strong, particularly in the face of adversity.

Joan's special interests included travel, fitness, opera, lawn bowling, and bridge.

Above all, Joan had a big heart and was a kind and loyal friend. Along with her two sisters, Helen and Kay, Joan was born in Uxbridge, Ontario to Pearl and Gib Crosby.

She graduated from University of Toronto as an occupational therapist and worked as an OT at Workman's Compensation and then as a lecturer at U of T until she met and married 'the guy next door' Ron Wylie.

Ron and Joan were happily married for 24 years. Although Joanie did not have children of her own, she was like a second mother to her niece and nephews, Patti Bunston Gunn and David and Michael Bunston who, along with their children, will miss her unwavering love and support. It was Joan's wish that no funeral service be held for her.

We can all bid farewell to a life well lived in our own special way.
