Hucaluk AdrienneHUCALUK, Adrienne Mary Duncan (nee BROWN)   - 1928 - 2018  It is with heavy hearts we announce mom's sudden passing peacefully in her sleep.

Survived by her husband of 67 years, Fred, 7 cherished children, Mary Jayne, Freddie, Allan and Brian, Addie, Carlson and Nancy, 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

From Windsor to Toronto, Galt, Victoria, BC, Sudbury then back to again to settle in Scarborough, Adrienne and Fred moved for his work as an electrical engineer.

Adrienne graduated as a Registered Nurse from Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor, worked as an OR nurse and, at the age of 50, went back to school took to brush up on her business skills and changed careers. She was an accomplished soprano, earning her Degree in music at University of Western Ontario.

She was a dedicated member of many choirs including Durham Philharmonic, Bel Canto, The Belle-Aires, Harmony and All of Us. Her talent, enthusiasm and hard work resulted in success as a performer of comedy, song and dance, highlighted by an appearance at Roy Thompson Hall.

Still singing up to last week, thanks go out to her choir friends for their ongoing support.

She was always a go-getter and an inspiration to us all! She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will take place at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home at 2900 Kingston Road on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held in the chapel, on July 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to the Humane Society or the Alzheimer Society in lieu of flowers, if desired.
