Walters Sister MargueriteWALTERS, Sister Marguerite, CSJ  - (Formerly Sister Joseph Marie) died peacefully at the Sisters of St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive on July 3, 2018 in the 68th year of her religious life.

Sister Marguerite was the eldest daughter of George Henry Joseph Walters, from England and Martha Yvonne Desormeaux from Montreal, Quebec.

She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Rita Mitchell and her brother Kenneth Walters.

She is survived by her brothers George, Gerald (Jerry) and James (Jim).

Sister Marguerite will be missed by her loving family, friends and Sisters in community. Sister Marguerite entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto on September 7, 1950, received the habit on March 19, 1951 and made her first profession March 19, 1953. She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2011.

Sister Marguerite entered the teaching profession and greatly enjoyed the children whom she taught. Her many talents in the area of finance were appreciated through her ministries in health care, leadership administration, as well as in her role as Director of the Pontifical Missions and as Director of the F.K. Morrow Foundation. In recent years Sister Marguerite resided on the care floor at the Sisters of St. Joseph's Residence in Toronto.

Visitation at the Sisters of St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel, at 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
