BARBOSA, Roland - Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the age of 67, after a long-fought battle with early onset Alzheimer's.
Beloved husband of Carminda.
Adored father of Jenn and Nicole (Matthew).
Cherished Papa of Maya and Riley.
Loving brother of Frank (Maria), Eduardo (Fatima) and the late Tony and Mario (Connie).
Roland will be missed by his loving in-laws, many nieces, nephews, countless friends and colleagues. Born in Ribeirinha, Portugal, he came to Canada when he was 13 years old with his family in search of a better life for himself.
He ran a successful business at Intrans-Corp/TankMaster and was a proud member of Islington Golf Club. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Corvette fanatic.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, Mississauga, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd., Mississauga, on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 a.m.
If desired, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society of Peel. Due to allergies in the family, please no lilies.
