SLAYTON, Frances Irene - Passed away on June 8, 2018, at Toronto General Hospital.
Born in Flushing, New York on August 5, 1941 and the daughter of the late Henry J. Fine and the late Florence Fine.
Mother of Gabrielle Domingues (Victor Domingues), grandmother of Max Domingues and Rosie Domingues, sister of Lorraine J. Fine, aunt of Ari Glantz and wife of Vytas Mickevicius.
Frances lived a rewarding life.
During her career, she worked in administration at Rockefeller University, McGill University and the Toronto General Hospital. Her wide interests encompassed travel, art, books, movies, food and music, with opera being a passion.
She lived with grace and courage and made life richer for her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
Special thanks to the compassionate physicians, nurses and other staff at Toronto General Hospital who cared for Frances and made her final days bearable for her and her family.
A memorial gathering with family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, Toronto.
