Coates SusanCOATES, Susan Alexandra -  Passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the age of 58 years.

Cherished wife of 25 years to Bruce Pratt.

Beloved mother of Kyra-Mei and Ana-Li Pratt.

Dear sister-in-law of Nanci and Mark Smith and aunt to their sons Kyle and Leigh.

Fondly remembered by Narraway family cousins Kathy, Christine, Cheryl and the Crawford family cousins Jill, David and Rob.

Susan was predeceased by her parents David and Claire Coates.

Throughout her life, Susan was a tireless volunteer. She was "Brown Owl" to the 118th Toronto Brownies for 10 years even before her daughters were Brownies.

Like her mother Claire, she was a director of the Canadian National Exhibition Association for six years including a term as vice president. She coordinated an Out of the Cold program at Windermere Avenue United Church for many years where she also led the Sunday School program.

Most recently Susan was actively engaged as a parent volunteer at Humbercrest Public School. Even her career was dedicated to helping others. She ran her own media relations company, Resonance Communications, which specialized in the not-for-profit sector.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and at the Dorothy Ley Hospice for their caring compassion.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Windermere United Church, 356 Windermere Ave. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 a.m.

If friends so desire, memorial donations made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (www.thepmcf.ca).
