PHILLIPS, William John – On Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Trillium Villa, William John Phillips passed away peacefully at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of Jane (Kershaw) Phillips for 64 years.  Loving father of Bob (Sue) and Bev (Dennis). 

Cherished grandfather of the late Sarah Jane Churchman, Lauren Phillips, Dan Churchman and Eric Kloppenburg.  Dear brother of Barbara Hyatt, the late Betty Phillips, Bev Dionne, Brenda Butler, the late Barton Phillips and Barry Phillips. 

Predeceased by his parents William and Margaret (Hodgson) Phillips. 

Bill was a charter member of the Sheet Metal Association Local 539, he was a master gardener and for many years loved golfing and curling, and when he was unable to participate enjoyed watching. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Bill’s life on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to The Salvation Army or The Sarnia and District Humane Society.
