GALLOWAY, William “Bill”  –

June 11, 1960 – May 11, 2023

With heavy hearts we share the saddest of news of the sudden passing of our dearest Bill Galloway, at home, on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jean.

He is survived by his loving wife, Silvia; brother, David (Jan); and sister, Anne (Greg). Stepfather to Diana (Femi) and Gabi (Dan).

Loving “Uncle Bill” to Cheryl, Neil (Joni Ann), Mathew (Crissy) and Ellen. He was so very happy to be “Grandpa” to Zaria. Bill loved playing hockey, softball, baseball and lacrosse in his younger years and had a lifelong passion for fishing.

He had a great affection for aviation and was proud to have attained his pilot’s license. He graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in Engineering and worked for deHavilland, later Bombardier, for 33 years as an Aeronautical Test and Stress Engineer. Bill loved his family and friends.

He was soft-spoken, self-effacing and so kind to everyone. He will be missed by us all. We will hold dear our precious memories of him.

To cherish always and forever, friends and family will be received at O’Neill Funeral Home, Main St., Stouffville, on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Celebration Service will take place from 12 to 1 p.m. with Burial following. Friends and family are welcome to join the immediate family for a light meal at the funeral home following the Burial.
