COLLINS, Leonard Francis Collins  –

May 1, 1946 – August 16, 2023

It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Leonard F. Collins (Len) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Predeceased by his parents, Len (1999) and Norah (1996); and wife, Anne (1993). Loving husband of Sheila Morrison; and much-beloved father of Catherine (Mark).

Cherished by stepdaughters, Catherine (Neil) and Juliana (Len).

Adoring grandpa of Koltyn and Miles. Dear brother of Don (Joan), Mike (Pat), Jim (Bev), Paul (Lianne), Juliana (Paul) and Sarah Jane. Fondly known as ‘Uncle Lennie’ to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Len’s career was with the Toronto Metropolitan Police and the Ontario Police Commission.

In retirement, Len joined the Knights of Columbus (Marian Council 3881) and was elected for multiple terms as President of the OCA. As well, to continue fueling his fire for learning, Len enjoyed his involvement with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road W., Oakville, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Oakville on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
