GENTLES, Sandra Margaret Gentles

Aged 84, ‘Sandy’ (as most people knew her) died peacefully surrounded by sons Peter and Stephen Gentles, and brother Stephen Jack at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital. Sandra Margaret Gentles was  born in London, Ontario to Carol Sanderson and Gordon Jack, she spent her childhood in Arva, Ontario, attending the single-roomed schoolhouse SS15 to grade 8. A graduate of Victoria College (UofT), Sandra lived her adult life in Toronto where she had a career as a social worker. In her final years she resided at Christie Gardens. In addition to her sons and brother, she is survived by her loving grandchildren Eliot, Catherine, Rowan and Andrew; daughter-in-law Erin Kennedy; nieces Naomi, Melanie and Linton; and her close friends from UofT and Roselawn Avenue. Sandy will be remembered by those close to her as a good listener, advisor, and caring friend.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto on Saturday, May 9^th at 12 p.m.
