Joyce will also be missed byΒ herΒ son Brad (partner Colleen), grandsons Joshua (Fateema) of Australia and Brandan (Emma) of Vancouver, BC,Β and great-grandson Noah of Australia; sonΒ Steve, granddaughter Jamie (Grant), and great-granddaughter BlakeΒ and great-grandson Lucas; son Randy (Kimberly), granddaughters Maegan (Dorian),Β Taylor (Edgar) of California, USA,Β andΒ Alyssa (Cole) of Terrace, BC, and great-granddaughters Elliana, Bellarae, Milagrace, and Norah.Β She is also survived by herΒ stepchildren Levi Gardiner (Marlo) and Mykaela Gardiner (Caiden).

Joyce grew up in Horseshoe Bay and stayed in the area even after her marriage to Jim. The family moved in 1987 to Beaver Lake Lodge above Winfield; moving with them was an extra family member, Jack Reid, who today is still considered their fourth son.
Joyce was a very active member in Beta Sigma Phi for 56 years in both North Vancouver and Kelowna councils. Joyce spent many hours volunteering for the West Vancouver Soccer Association when her boys were younger. She will be remembered for always being willing to jump in and organize any event. Her favourite get-togethers, small or large, were when family was around, especially if she could play a game of cards.
A Celebration of LifeΒ will be held at a later date. Details to be announced.
