ALLEN, Norman Allen  -
Passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 97th year after a full and happy life.

A truly kind and gentle man, he had a keen sense of humour.

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1955, his love of big ships and the sea led him to service in the British Royal Navy.

A proud Canadian citizen, the focus on his life was his family.

He met Doreen Jones, the love of his life at the age of 18, and was blessed with 66 years of marriage, before her passing in 2017.

He was a wonderful Dad to David and Valerie, proud Grandad to Nicole, and delighted Great Grandad to Elizabeth and Emilia. Norman is predeceased by his brothers Jack (Kit) and Trevor (Jean).

Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. In his later years, Norman particularly appreciated the kindness and support of his wonderful caring neighbours.

In keeping with his wishes, the family will have a private service to celebrate his life.
