ALEXIOU, Antonios - A few days ago on August 17, 2020 my family lost the most loving, kind hearted, caring, strong, hard working and determined human being I've ever known.
Nothing I say about him will ever do justice to the type of man that he was.
In short, my Grandfather, Antonios Alexiou, was the type of person who would never turn his back on anyone, no matter who it was.
He took care of his family and those he loved with a passion. He was humble, honest, simple and the type of person who would always find a way to make you smile.
He was courageous and never made a single excuse in his life. He wasn't a complainer but he always listened when you had something to say. He never spoke poorly of anyone no matter who they were, and he told the best stories, one's that could just make me laugh and laugh.
He reminded me of a saint, even though he was a man. But he wasn't just a man, he was a Father, a Brother, a Husband, a Cousin, an Uncle and most importantly a friend.
He leaves behind countless family members, friends, and people that had the pleasure of getting to know him.
Visitation was held at Metamorphosis Tou Sotiros Greek Orthodox Church, 40 Donlands Avenue, Toronto on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. The service took place at the church on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
